Page Linking Root Domains and Root Domain Linking Root Domains?
-
hi,
i want to know if Page Linking Root Domains is less and Root Domain Linking Root Domains is higher in number, at that time your keyword is highly competitive or less competitive?
for example if a keyword having this information:-
- Page Authority is:-83
- Page Linking Root Domains:- 295
- Domain Authority is :- 94
- Root Domain Linking Root Domains:- 42,399
which point is more important to consider? if you want to bring your keyword on the first page of the Google ?
-
i mean to say that if i have one main keyword and 10 other related keywords on a single domain,
i am of the view that if i work on ten other keywords and somehow bring them on the top will this phenomena will have an impact on my main keyword as well? will my other related keywords support my main keyword to rank better or not?
-
Can you try rephrasing your question, please? I'm not sure I follow.
-
Thank you Martin and activitysuper for help,
please tell in this section also,
if my 10 to 12 keywords on the first page of the google
is it possible these keywords support the main keyword home page?

Links coming from the root domain (homepage)
'Page Auth' and 'Page Linking Root Domains'
-
In short, both are important. I focus firstly on the Page Domains because at the end of the day it is that Page that is ranking.
But you must also ensure that you are raising your overall domain authority so getting links and publishing content and social sharing (etc) for other pages of your site as well.
If you raise the overall domain authority, the pages tend to get a lift too, but start with the page metrics first.
Hope this helps.

Is it possible to find out how many indexed pages a website had at particular dates in the past?
I've found all kinds of websites and tools that can tell me how many pages a site has indexed currently, but how about historically? Does such a tool exist?

Via this intermediate link?
I'm doing some work on an ecommerce site for an electronics distributor and I've been seeing these "Via this intermediate link" notations from GWT under our "Links To Your Site" section. I understand how and why these notations would normally be displayed, however, these links are mainly coming from our direct competitors. Fearing that we might be a victim of a negative SEO attack, I looked into the situation and noticed that all of the links are from PDF's (technical data sheets) provided by the manufacturer that both we and our competitors use on our product detail pages. This still seems odd to me because, we download these pdf's and host them on our own site on our own servers under a completely different name (as I'm assuming our competitors do as well), yet, there still seems to be a connection between our sites through these PDF's. I've included a screenshot of some examples. Since we have thousands of SKU's on our site - with technical PDF's for nearly all of them - we're seeing a lot of links from competitors sites. I'm not sure if this is good or bad, I'm just trying to understand the situation more clearly. Has anyone had any similar experiences or some information from Google that might explain what I'm seeing here? fpWvB5T

History of Page or Domain Authority...how?
Hi everyone, is there a way (tools) to see the "history" of any given website in terms of Page or Domain Authority? Like if I went to Alexa and typed in www.angieslist.com it tells me the site ranks #**2,691 **Globally and #670 in the USA. But, is there a way to see how the rank has gone up over time, or where it was a year, two or more ago? Thanks

Why does the link analysis of my website say I have no links?
When I click on the "Link Analysis" tab it says my website has a domain authority of 1 and has 0's for every other category. When I run it in Open Site Explorer - it says I have a page authority of 51 with over 4600 links. My website also seems to be at a stand still over the past several weeks. Anyone know why the two Link Analysis is not showing anything? Thank you

Blog Comment Links
Hi everyone! Using the Open Site Explorer tool I can see many of my competitors leave blog comments which (according to the tool) are providing link value to their sites. This seems like something that can easily be used in a black hat sort of way. My question is this - Is leaving comments on blogs an effective way of generating positive links to my site? Adrian
