Duplicate Pages Different Content

Will duplicate pages different content hurt rankings/seo
E-commerce Site is plugin style with WYSIWYG editor allowing for full customization, all pages are setup with basic default content.
Ive created custom pages with content/keywords to begin seo on them
I have two pages
www.domain.com/sports/hockey and www.domain.com/nhl-tickets
The first url is default, with a single H1tag, + Default Meta+Title tags, the second is the content rich page, and structured properly, both of which show up on the site, should I block the first url from displaying at all?
The reason I am asking is because ive also setup breadcrumb links, which makes all of these category url's accessible on the site, I cannot edit breadcrumb links, we can either have them there or remove them.
Thank you Very Much!!

Just a title on the page - what is the value of that page to a user - this is ultimate spam and should be blocked
Hope this helps you out! and if it does please mark answered

Hello,
They are not duplicate pages, ive just created custom pages that are content rich, they site is a type of plugin setup. So one page is under www.domain.com/sports/hockey and www.domain.com/nhl-tickets the 2nd is more targeted more towards what we are trying to rank for. the first page ONLY has a title and thats it. Would you still recommend blocking it? The only issue I run into is breadcrumb links and our sub-categories.
Thanks

Maybe I misunderstand the question, but you should not have duplicate pages on the site and you should block the URL without any value add. Google will penalize the site if it finds a significant percentage of pages that it deems low quality.

Content - Similar but not exactly the same content - Duplicate or Spammy?
Hey, so I have been wondering for some time now as some pages will get indexed and others won't appear at all. That makes me think that I am either creating to similar content or it is becoming too spammy. Take these two pages I created for example. The body content is very similar but h tags, meta tags and title are different. So my questions is; would pages not be displaying due possibly being too similar and spammy or duplicate? I have linked two pages that are very similar below and would love to hear any thoughts about it. https://www.dlmremovals.com.au/queensland/interstate/removalists/gold-coast-to-ballarat-removalist-backloads-and-moving-service.html https://www.dlmremovals.com.au/queensland/interstate/removalists/gold-coast-to-bendigo-removalist-backloads-and-moving-service.html Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Using different sections from all over your site to compile a blog post, bad idea or ok to do?
I have a large site that sells various products, I have been on a kick creating new content relating to the many aspects of upkeep with these products after purchase, I wanted to create a blog post combining all the info for the group of products, but will be reusing some of the FAQs and even tips, since I'm more or less relocating the info. Since this blog post is using many different sources on our site, using a rel=canonical isn't possible. Is there anything I should watch out for, Will rewording / phrasing here and there be enough or should I steer clear of this as a whole?

Duplicate Content behind a Paywall
We have a website that is publicly visible. This website has content. We'd like to take that same content, put it on another website, behind a paywall. Since Google will not be able to crawl those pages behind the paywall is there any risk to ua doing this? Thanks! Mike

Duplicate Content From Huffington Post Blog
A client who writes blog posts for Huffington Post also wants an identical version of the blog posted to his personal site. Do you think there could be a problem of being punished for duplicate content? Would a better SEO practice be to have the client do an on-site blog just linking to the Huffington Post blog and providing information about it?

How does one write different pages of their website that are very similar in nature with using too much duplicate content?
We are a service provider and we have different links on our website to each of our services. The problem is the content that we would have for each is very similar. How can I ensure that it is not deemed duplicate content and ranked poorly because of it. Thanks

Emailing content to posterous
Posterous is setup to syndicate my content to my personal WP blog. After reading information on SEOmoz, I realize that Duplicate Content is not a good thing. Should I stop this process? Note: The way it works is I email a post to posterous and it posts it there and on my WP Blog and create a FB post and a Tweet.

Content placement
Does content placement on a page have any effect, bring up top as opposed to bottom as opposed to embedded within? On my product detail page it comes up last after image, social section and add to cart
