This makes no sense to me!

Can anyone please explain why this list might be ordered in this way? It seems so counter-intuitive!

Wow EGOL - Thanks for that insight - You successfully read the title of the page!
Yes, see how easy your question was?
I have a homepage with a PA of 52 that is outranked by an ebay page with a PA of 1 and an amazon.com page with a PA of 1. These ebay and amazon pages have zero links from other domains. My page has 45 linking root domains.
Amazon and Ebay win because GOOGLE awards high rankings to pages on authoritative domains. SEOmoz PA is irrelevant because Google determines the rankings using a different set of factors - especially "onpage" factors.
SEOmoz PA and DA are great for tracking your progress over time but they are very imperfect for predicting google rankings. If you don't believe that just watch Q&A and see how many people make a post like yours.... "WTF, my PA is higher and they are beating me"
These folks think one of these things:
-
Google is screwing them
-
SEOmoz metrics are bogus
The real answer is: 3) These folks don't understand PA and DA or they have a site with some penalty or throttle.
I would like to see SEOmoz explain these numbers and how they should be used with greater clarity and post obvious links to that content where the results of the tool is displayed.

I was actually hoping someone could explain how a page with just one linking domain and page authority of 35 can rank higher than one with 123 linking root domains and page authority of 50?
i.e. Does this suggest the number of linking root domains and page authority is irrelevant in this market?

They are listed in the order of their google ranking.

Size of a term to make money off of ad based informational site
Hello, I am used to estimating how much money is possible to make out of ranking for Ecommerce terms. Higher price products have a lower conversion rate (cheap items are opposite) so you can look at the keyword size in keyword explorer and estimate pretty well (roughly). My question is, how many times bigger does an ad based (informational) keyword need to be to get similar profit? This is just an estimate. For example, does a term need to be 5? 10? times bigger on average (volume) as an informational keyword to make the same amount of profit (roughly of course)? I realize there are many factors here but you must have some way you think of it? Can you give me some general guidelines?

Crawl findings 301 redirects I didn't make?
Hi, I'm new to SEOMOZ Pro and loving it so far, but was confused as to how the 51 page Crawl of my site (http://cryptophoneaustralia.com) found so many 301 redirects. 18 to be exact. It's a Wordpress site, and my htaccess file has no 301's in it, so I'm kind of confused as to where to start looking as to why they've shown up in the crawl. I've been building sites for years, and use 301's quite regularly, but this site should have none. The site was originally on a subdomain until it was ready to go live, then I moved the site to it's current domain and ran the Velvet Blues plugin to update all the URLs. I then went through and manually changed the ones in areas where this plugin tends to miss. The site still functions fine, it just bothers me why the 301's are being found in the crawl. Thank you.

What makes up the Influence score in Followerwonk
New Year, new SEO and social media resolutions... Trying to read up on some to-dos and not to-dos I stumbled across Followerwonk, which I totally love. I do however wonder how the Influence score is calculated. Anyone know?

Does it make sense to have multiple campaigns for one website?
I'm new to SEO and SEOMoz. While setting up my campaigns, I was a bit confused. Do I need to setup separate campaigns for different pages of my site? For example, I run a proofreading service: www.kibin.com I obviously want to track keyword on the main page (like proofreading service), however, I also want to track keywords (like 'essay editing') on www.kibin.com/essay-editing Should these be two separate campaigns or do I just put all the keywords into one campaign for kibin.com? Thanks!

Has SEOMoz considered making it possible to follow a specific Q & A thread via Twitter and/or Email?
I think it would be great if there was a way to follow a particular Q & A thread without having to post a comment. There are so many great topics and discussions in here and sometimes I lose track of some that I'd like to continue following as people post, without having to post in the thread myself. Have you guys (Mozzers) ever considered adding a "Follow this thread on Twitter" or "Follow this thread by email" function? Or is there already a way to do this (without posting), that I just haven't found?

For SEOMoz Staff - Can You Make a Better Referral Badge, PLEASE?
I am going to send referrals to SEOMOZ and I want to put a badge on my site with my referral link from this page: http://www.seomoz.org/users/referrals Can you make some banners where we can just select an image src with a call to action like "FREE SEO Tools" and "Free 30 Day Trail"? Currently the only badges I see say something wack like "I Love SEOMOZ" http://www.seomoz.org/dp/badges I need something that converts higher than "I love SEOmoz". Love yah guys!
