Widgets like Facebook Like and AddThis - Any Negative SEO?

I could go widget crazy with my website, there are so many cool buttons and linking this and likes and etc.
There's one that is used a lot, called "Addthis" that adds a series of small icons to share a page via facebook, twitter, etc. The javascript looks innocent enough, but there's a link, and who knows what google makes of it.
Then there are the dozen or so Facebook widgets - are they safe to use without negative SEO consequences?
Does anyone know of any other pitfalls with using the numerous addons offered free to enhance your site?

I don't know of any pitfalls. As a matter of fact, I think the more people who 'share' on the AddThis Facebook button, the higher your rankings will go.

You can get around the page speed issue by creating your own links.
You can make a Facebook link to your Facebook page using the FB logo and hyperlink.
Same for Twitter.
Make sure it doesn't use javascript. Why the widget makers don't get it amazes me.

I agree with the page speed comment, they have been known to slow down sites.
As a user, I get annoyed with an addthis-type widget that pops up with 50 social networks that I can like or submit to. If you are going to use one of those, take a few extra moments to look and include just the ones your users are likely to use

Don't worry about these widgets. The major issue is keeping your page speed down. That's the primary issue with these widgets.

Hello, We run Facebook ads for 30+ companies each month. We have not found a way to quickly monitor relevance scores from all our clients in one reporting format. Right now, we're still going into the ad account for each client, then into each ad to check the relevance scores, either in Ads Manager or Power Editor. Facebook Share from personal wall to fan page
Is it possible to share a post from someone's personal FB wall to a company fan page if they have the permissions set to allow this? I often get a message that a share was denied and I'm not sure if shares from personal to business fan pages are always denied or if this is controlled by the person's privacy settings.

How Can I do SEO for a Escorts Website?
So here comes the hard part of working with SEO.... I've been doing SEO for a quite long time now and as far as I concern, it has been working and that's why I can tell people I'm a SEO Manager! It was all good until 3/4 months ago when I got this client that wanted me to do SEO for his Escort Agency. I've analysed his website and came across some structure error, poor linking and so on... I've started by reformulating his website, re-structuring his urls, keeping good pages and throwing alway the poor content ones, requested some website owners to remove links to that website and so on.... All good and sorted, but when it came to do the off-page optimisation it became a nightmare! It's pretty easy to get links for a clothing website or any other (not "obscure") kind of websites, but no serious and authority websites would link to an escort agency; It's also very easy to create something funny and nice and post it on a page of your website to get people sharing and liking on facebook, but again very hard to get people to share and like things posted by an escort agency... You can't really advertise on escorts directories and use keywords on the ad because godfather google would penalize you.... I really don't know what to do anymore, so I will list some questions and if guys SEO experts could help me out, I would be so grateful!!! How can I get people linking to the website without paying for it? How can I get good authority links to this kind of website? How can I advertise on paid directories without being penalised by google? How can i get shares and likes on social network websites? The website has about 3000 pages, been online since 2010, have at least 3 lengthy articles posted a day! Please guys help me out with this case that is making me loose my nights of sleep... What could Google+ do for your SEO?
If your a Google+ wizard and do everything right, so optimise your profile, pick up 1000's of followers, followers engage with your posts by adding a comment or a plus, followers are even going to your website and sharing content using the Google plus button etc. What kind of effect would this have on your SEO? Would this kind of activity improve your Auth? Side question: Forget the above, what movement would you expect if one of your pages received 1000 plus's from real users, would you expect to see a jump in SERP's I know every website is different, im just looking to see what I could expect if the work was put in to achieve the above.

Twitter and SEO
Hello Mozzers, I am trying to determine the effectiveness of using twitter as an SEO tactic. A site in my niche (healthcare job boards) is ranking very well for a handful of head terms. Their backlink profile is okay, but not amazing. But one thing that stands out to me is their approach to twitter, http://www.physemp.com/socialTwitter.html. It looks like they send an automated feed of their jobs to these specific twitter handles. Each of the handles has over 2,000 followers (some are legit some are bots). The site ranks for some highly competitive head terms (see attached). Can any of their ranking success be attributed to these various twitter handles? Is Google seeing these twitter feeds and associating high follower count and high tweet frequency with the URL attached to each account? Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Received Tons of Traffic From Facebook..But from where?
I checked my GA account today and noticed that I had a ton of traffic from Facebook to a specific blog article on my site. I tried to look into it, but I can't seem to find exactly where it's coming from. Is there anyway I can figure this out? It's been bugging me all day.

Facebook Comments For Engines
I incorporated Facebook comments on my site and am now working on displaying it for Google to see. I did so successfully using the FB comment display php script (See: http://developers.facebook.com/blog/post/490) on the page below, but it is displaying in the browser as well. What is the best preactice to hide this from the human visitors?
