How do i know if a forum is indexed or not indexed?

You can use the search line on Google: site:www.example.com

This will tell you what Google has indexed on the site.

If you are looking for a specific sub-folder, then use: site:www.example.com/forum

Hello I want a question about forum signature backlink. Suppose I join a forum having following categories: A B C and the C category is relavant to my niche like for example the C category is about SEO and I want to build a website about SEO and want to put link in the signature for that webiste. So can i consider it as relevant category for my niche??? although the category A and B are not relevant to my niche and also I will not post in them???

Obtaining Links from Forums?

How good is a link from a forum? Do you guys know of any forums in the shopping, jewelry, wedding, or fashion industry that accepts links within their signature or within the post? I know some forums are very strict about this and others allow you to add your link as an incentive to post on their forums. Generally, how effective is this in your opinion and any good recommendations of quality forums?

When editing your dofollow signature in forums, what happens with old posts?

Well hi there...!!? Now, here's a scenario: I've been anchortext linkbuilding (with success, wuhuuu!!) for a client through a couple of months and I've aggregated quite a few links from a series of 'solid' forums. The majority (we are 99!) of links are build using the signature in my posts and comments. Now my client has shifted focus from this specific linkbuilding task and I have another client awaiting to "take the place in my signature". How do I ensure that historical posts from client #1 stays unaltered, while new comments have client #2 in my signature? A few after thoughts: Are there any automated ways to monitor the above mentioned scenario? What are the chances of getting penalized from the forum, loosing historical comments (links) Tally ho! ;o)

URL in signature of discussion forum post

I used to see URL's in the signature part of discussion forum posts covering various topics but it does not seem popular anymore. It seems like a good way to build links and I am wondering why it is not used. Suppose I ask a question about proper tooth brushing technique on the forum at "toothbrushingforum.com" and user "ToothBrushWizard" is nice enough to answer my question. I used to see signatures like this: Good luck,

www.ToothBrushWizard.com Is this considered poor taste or are these links discounted by the search engines? Is it best to keep an updated profile with your URL and hope that forum users click through to it?

I don't know if i should post my articles to other forums or sharing sites to create back links?

All the articles on my blog are written on my own. I write about 5 ones per month. I don't know if i should post my articles to other forums or sharing sites to create back links? I have heard that it may cause adverse effect because my blog will be crawled more slowly than those forums, so Google will consider the articles on my blog (as) copies. Is that right?
