I'm currently doing some research on blogs to guest post on and I want to make sure they are providing DoFollow links out.

are the green links displayed from the MozBar simply links that don't contain the HTML element "NOFOLLOW" or is it more in depth tan that?

according to this article there are TONS of different ways that people can place a NOFOLLOW link on their site http://www.searchenginepeople.com/blog/identify-nofollow-juiceless-links-guide.html

If it link is a direct link to your site (view source and make sure its ), then only the top 3 points are taken into consideration if its nofollow or not.

MozBar takes all 3 into consideration (tested it on a site I have noindex in robots.txt on, assuming it checks for the meta tag and definitely checks for nofollow attribute).

No link data for my domains + still no adwords data

All 3 sites In my campaign have no link data analysis done. 5 to 6 months after you said you were working on it Adwords data is still not available in Keyword analysis Partial service is understandable for a few days but not for months. External Followed Links History, number of links go down

Discrepancies in link reports from SEOMoz and OSE

Hello, I am trying to understand the link profile of my site. In the competitive analysis from SEOMoz, it shows 22K+ of links, with about 900+ being external followed links and 800+ internal. Webmaster tools shows a similar number of external followed links, but the link report from OSE only shows about 150 external followed links. This brings up several questions: Where is this 22K total links coming from? Why is there such a difference in the SEOMoz competitive analysis and the OSE report? Why does the OSE report show some links as not followed, while Webmaster tools lists them as followed? Am new to the off-page aspects of SEO, and I have to say the discrepancy in data from different tools is by far the most challenging thing for me. Would welcome general advice on this topic as well. Thank you!

Why are inbound links not showing up?

I'm new to SEOmoz but have a question regarding inbound links that I don't see posted in the forum. In order to become more familiar with SEOmoz tools, I've been checking out sites that friends and family members have created as practice. Things have been going really smooth until I came across a 2+ year old page that should have included an inbound link from wsj.com but said link is not appearing in OSE for this page. Background: A friend of mine has a (basically) defunct blog that had a pretty well trafficked posting in 2009. However, when I use OSE to check out both the domain and page inbound links, I don't see the aforementioned inbound link from wsj.com. Why is that? Or, it's insanely late - am I missing something? BOTW links not recognized by Open Site Explorer

Hi there, I was wondering if I buy a submission to the Best of the Web directory (waiting for the new directory list promised by the seomoz team 🙂 ) but when I get to the category on BOTW website that will fit for my website, I took some links already there and put them on open site explorer to see their value, I had the surprise they are not even recognized... So I am still wondering if it is worth or not... voilà , if anybody knows if this directory still has value...

Open site explorer - Analysing competitors links

When using open site explorer to analyse my competitors links, when going through them, I would click them to have a look at them. Almost all of the ones I clicked on something started to download on my computer and would be a blank page or the tab would disappear when the download begun. What is this? Why have they done this? Is this bad practice? Thanks
