Up until yesturday I was mainly getting entrances to my site through www.moondoggieinc.com/dog-harness.php like 60-70 a day
After yesterday, it's dropped to one or two! I haven't made any major changes to the site? I don't know what happened!
I am starting to feel really discouraged and don't know what to do! I have no clue what my next move should be in trying to get this site working well in organic search. I feel lost now, PLEASE help!
Any suggestions on what to do with http://www.moondoggieinc.com would be a great help! I feel so lost!

When I look in Bing webmaster tools, I don't see anything they suggested w/i parameters? I dont see any parameters set...?
It doesn't appear they changed anything, but I might not be looking in the right place...
I attached a screenshot, but i dont think they set any parameters?
Thanks you so much!

Google and Bing don't talk to each other, so Bing wouldn't know about the parameters you set in Google.
My gut says that maybe Bing chose the wrong things to ignore? I'd look at what they suggested and see if it needs adjusting and if they are ignoring too many things.
-
I just checked Bing webmasters tools and found this message from the day that I started not getting hits from bing or yahoo.
It was the only message I had in bing webmasters:
Query parameters for normalization found on moondoggieinc.com
Site: http://moondoggieinc.com/Date: 8/26/2012Priority: LowBing has detected new parameters in your URLs. Please visit the Ignore URL Parameters feature in the Configure My Site section of Bing Webmaster Tools to review the suggested parameters. If you are certain that a suggested parameter does not change or determine the page content, you can add it to the list of parameters to ignore by clicking on the suggested parameter. This helps reduce duplicate URLs for the same content and allows Bing to crawl and index more relevant URLs, potentially improving the overall traffic for your site.I had parameters set in google for almost 2 months now, are they picking up on that?
-
In that case, I'd verify my site in Bing's Webmaster Center and see if you have any notifications, if it's just Yahoo/Bing (since Bing powers Yahoo's index). I am seeing your site and that page in particular in Bing, including when I do a search for dog harness.
-
In looking at it ALL my traffic from yahoo and bing went away... I was receiving about 50 hits a day from those engines and over the past 2 days I have received none.
How can that happen?
-
Hi Kristy,
I'd look at a couple of things. First, have you verified your site in Google Webmaster Tools? If not, do so now. If you have, log into your account and see if you have any messages saying an action was taken with regards to your site.
Second, you haven't made major changes, but even a minor change in the right part of the code could have caused your analytics to stop working.
Before we get into full-fledged panic mode, let's do a little diagnosis. Take a deep breath, and go back to your analytics and get a little more information.
- Is it just that one page that suddenly has no entrances?
- Is your site traffic as a whole down?
- For that one page, what was the source of those entrances? Was it a link on another site, and that link has been removed?
- If the source was organic search, has you traffic declined over all search engines, or just one search engine?
If we figure out more exactly what the problem is, we can help you get things fixed back up.

Unsolved I have a "click rate juice" question would like to know.
Hello I have a "click rate juice" question would like to know. For example. I created a noindex site for a few days event purposes. Using a random domain like this: event.example.com. Expecting 5000+ clicks per day. Is it possible to gain some traffic juice from this event website domain "example.com" to my other main site "main.com" but without exposing its URL. Thought about using 301 redirecting "example.com" to "main.com". But it will reveal the example-b.com to the general public if someone visits the domain "example.com". Also thought about using a canonical URL, but it would not be working because the event site is noindex. or it would not matter at all 🤔 Wondering if there is a thing like this to gain some traffic juice for another domain? Thanks

Rankings drop after https migration [Need urgent help]
hey hi guys, i have lost all my organic traffic and in need of urgent help. Plz i need all your SEO expertise. My website is: makemoneyadultcontent.com (before judging me, let me tell you that i have been in adult industry for almost 7 years now and hence this blog was a way to pass my knowledge to everyone who is looking for it) Recently i saw that moving to HTTPS will benefit my site. I did not knew much about technical details of moving to https. My hosting was on siteground, and they have a button which you can press and your website will then be served through https. So i did that. Nothing else was done. this was done on 13th or 14th of june For the next few weeks here is my analytics (image attached) : As you can see the traffic fluctuated and finally i lost everything on 29th june. When i researched more, i found out that you need to follow many steps in order to move to HTTPS. So i followed this guide and completed all the steps: https://www.keycdn.com/blog/http-to-https/ (also checked many other guides and tried to complete all the steps mentioned) Everyone said that the rankings will recover in one week, but now it has been more than 17 days and still the rankings have not improved. My articles are indexed as i can see it using site:makemoneyadultcontent.com but none of them are ranking for the keywords that i was ranking earlier. i have submitted the sitemap in google webmaster and around 166 (out of 218) pages are indexed. Here are few more images to help my case: plz plz help me what i can do to get my website traffic back. i have spent a lot of time and effort in building this site, cant see it die a slow death like this one. 8Wa8c [http ahref](http ahref) D42xw sAd9E

HELP! How do I get Google to value one page over another (older) page that is ranking?
So I have a tactical question and I need mozzers. I'll use widgets as an example: 1- My company used to sell widgets exclusively and we built thousands of useful, branded unique pages that sell widgets. We have thousands of pages that are ranking for widgets.com/brand-widgets-for-sale. (These pages have been live for almost 2 years) 2- We've shifted our focus to now renting widgets. We have about 100 pages focused on renting the same branded widgets. These pages have unique content and photos and can be found at widgets.com/brand-widgets-for-rent. (These pages have been live for about 2-3 months) The problem is that when someone searches just for the brand name, the "for sale" pages dramatically outrank the "for rent" pages. Instead, I want them to find the "for rent" page. I don't want to redirect traffic from the "for sale" pages because someone might still be interested in buying (although as a company, we are super focused on renting). Solutions? "nofollow" the "for sale" pages with the idea that Google will stop indexing "for sale" and start valuing "for rent" over it? Remove "for sale" from sitemap. Help!!

Help with 50 Plus Penalty, No Manual Action Reported
We have a client who had been ranking in Google’s top ten organic results for 2 of his major keywords last year. Currently Bing and Yahoo ranks his site #1 for both of these terms; the ranking pages that are appearing were specifically targeted with these words. As of now, the client appears to have a 50 plus penalty for these two keywords. Appearing #76 for one term and # 60 for the other. We were thinking of submitting a reconsideration request through Google Webmaster tools, but discovered that you aren’t allowed to do that unless a Manual Action has appeared, which in this case has not. The only problem we’ve had with the site from an SEO standpoint is that we recently discovered a website that had copied some of the product descriptions verbatim. The client contacted the site owner who took it down immediately (about a month ago), but we still have not seen any improvement in rankings for these keywords. Does anyone have any ideas on how to communicate this Google and get the suspected penalty lifted if a reconsideration request is apparently not available?

Unexplained Drop In Ranking and Traffic-HELP!
I operate a real estate web site in New York City (www.nyc-officespace-leader.com). It was hit by Penguin in April 2012, with search volume falling from 6,800 per month in March 2012 to 3,300 by June 2012. After refreshing content and changing the theme, volume recovered to 4,300 per month in October 2013. There was a big improvement in early October 2013, perhaps tied to a Panda update. In November 2013 I hired an SEO company. They are reputable; on MOZ's recommended list. After following all their suggestions (searching and removing duplicate content, disavowing toxic links, improving the site structure to make it easier for Google to index listings, re-writing ten key landing pages, improving the design of the user interface) ranking and traffic started to decline in April of 2014 and crashed in June 2014 after an upgraded design with improved user interface was launched. Search volume is went from 4700 in March to around 3800 in June. However ranking on the keywords that generate conversions has really declined, and clicks from those terms are down at least 65%. My online business is severely compromised after I have spent almost double the anticipated budget to improve ranking and conversion. A few questions: 1. Could a drop in the number of domains lining to our site have led to this decline? About 30 domains that had toxic links to us agreed to remove them. We had another 70 domains disavowed in late April. We only have 78 domains pointing to our domain now, far less than before (see attached AHREFs image). It seems there is a correlation in the timeline between the number of domains pointing to us and ranking performance. The number of domains pointing to us has never been this low. Could this be causing the drop? My SEO firm believes that the quality of these links are very low and the fact that many are gone is in fact a plus. 2. The number of indexed pages has jumped to 851 from 675 in early June (see attached image from Google Webmaster tools), right after a site upgrade. The number of pages in the site map is around 650. Could the indexation of the extra 175 page somehow have diluted the quality of the site in Google's eyes? We have filed removal request for these pages in Mid June and again last week with Google but they still appear. In 2013 we also launched an upgrade and Google indexed an extra 500 pages (canonical tags were not set up correctly) and search volume and ranking collapsed. Oddly enough when the number of pages indexed by Google fell, ranking improved. I wonder if something similar has occurred. 3. May 2014 Panda update. Many of our URLs are product URLs of listings. They have less than 100 words. Could Google suddenly be penalizing us for that? It is very difficult to write descriptions of hundreds of words for products that change quickly. I would think the Google takes this into account. If someone could present some insight into this issue I would be very, very grateful. I have spent over $25,000 on SEO reports, wireframe design and coding and now find myself in a worse position than when I started. My SEO provider is now requesting that I purchase even more reports for several thousand dollars and I can't afford it, nor can I justify it after such poor results. I wish they would take it upon themselves to identify what went wrong. In any case, if anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it. I am very suspicious that this drop started in earnest at the time of link removal and the disavow and accelerated at the time of the launch of the upgrade. Does anyone know why my website's domain authority has dropped from 51 to 49
However this does not seem to be in isolation. All of my competitors websites have taken a similar 1 or 2 points hit. I am thinking that as an industry we may have been affected by a mutual linking site being taken down, redesigned or just loosing its own domain authority. We do rank well for our keywords and we have been on a continual rise since I took over in January, we do a little bit of a guest blogging and I am trying to build links to the site but I am doing it slowly. Would anyone else have an idea on what has happened that would cause 4 sites in the same industry to take a 1 or 2 point hit? Thanks, Emmet

Help with creating a widget
I would like to create a widget that I can give to other website owners to place on their blog. Obviously the point of doing this is to get backlinks. The widget is a simple calculator. (Think of it like a mortgage calculator). I see that there are two ways of creating widgets: 1. Javascript 2. Iframe I've been reading this excellent tutorial on building a widget using javascript and jquery:http://alexmarandon.com/articles/web_widget_jquery/. However, with my limited knowledge of javascript it's going over my head. I understand that if I offer a widget that is in an iframe that the links don't get counted as backlinks, but rather as links from my own site. But, what if I offered code like this: <iframe src="http://www.mysite.com" width="300" height="250"></iframe> This tool was provided by MySite Would that be helpful to me?

Mobile friendly version (CSS) - helps in rankings on mobile searches?
Does anyone know if there are any theories or evidence that a mobile optimized website (CSS) has better chances of ranking on Mobile platforms - assuming links and other factors being equal? In other words, is Google able to identify that a website has been optimized for mobiles and gives them preference/weight to rank over other websites that are not mobile optimized?
