I run a Joomla site and have noticed users having a hard time finding what they are looking for. The default Joomla search is lacking and the latest Joomla search component I added is better but still not great.

I've always been able to find what I'm looking for on SeoMoz, do you guys use Google Site Search?

Yes, SEOMOZ search feature is powered by Google Custom Search.

SEOmoz tool Issue?

Hi Mozzers, I am doing a web maintenance task for a client and it's been weeks that Moz is detecting 49 duplicate pages ( contact page). I thought resolving the issue when creating the xml sitemap and excluding those duplicates. The moz tool would still detect them, so I went in making a search with some of these duplicate to check if they were indexed but non of them were indexed. So my question is has anyone recently experienced similar issues? Is the moz tool not 100% accurate? Thanks for sharing your thoughts and answers

How reliable is SEOMOZ data?

I have been using the Mozbar data to locate Auth websites, basically the higher the DA/PA the better it is. If I then check the site out and they have good load times, lots of social sharing etc this makes it extra special and now a good site to try and get a link on. I found 3 blogs to guest post on which all have DA/PA 80+ some of the blogs have a PR7. Now this is great but what scares me is have I just wasted 3 guest posts because the data is incorrect. These blogs are run by 1 person and the kind of work involved to achieve those stats would be very heavy. Maybe this blogger has just hit the nail on the head with SEO and link building. Input anyone?

Meta keywords no longer in use

Can someone point me to the official article explaining why meta keywords are no longer taken into account by search engines please? I know Moz has indicated that search engines ignore them, but I would like to read a bit more about it - what was the reason behind it and since when.

SEOmoz crawl error questions

I just got my first seomoz crawl report and was shocked at all the errors it generated. I looked into it and saw 7200 crawl errors. Most of them are duplicate page titles and duplicate page content. I clicked into the report and found that 97% of the errors were going off of one page It has ttp://legendzelda.net/forums/index.php/members/page__sort_key__joined__sort_order__asc__max_results__20 http://legendzelda.net/forums/index.php/members/page__sort_key__joined__sort_order__asc__max_results__20__quickjump__A__name_box__begins__name__A__quickjump__E etc Has 20 pages of slight variations of this link. It is all my members list or a search of my members list so it is not really duplicate content or anything. How can I get these errors to go away and make search my site is not taking a hit? The forum software I use is IPB.

SEOmoz bar causes FF to hang

I use FireFox as my browser on a Windows pc. When I close FF it rarely closes properly. The process is still visible in the task manager. I need to end the process to shut it down. After researching the issue I learned this problem is usually caused by an add-on. I disabled my add-ons one at a time and it is clearly the SEOmoz bar causing the issue. I can run every other add-on without any problem but if I use the mozbar but itself, the issue occurs. I plan to report this problem to the help desk but first I wanted to ask if others are experiencing the same issue. The more data that can be collected, the easier it will be to resolve the problem. Best way to use OSE Advanced Reports

I can see that Open Site Explorer's Advanced Reports feature is very powerful in terms of sifting through large amounts of link data, but does anyone have any useful tips on how to get the most out it? I want to use my 5 reports a month, but I want to make to maker sure I'm making the most of that allowance.

SEOmoz LDA tool experience?

http://www.seomoz.org/labs/lda Does anyone presently use this tool as a regular part of their SEO analysis? Does anyone have any updates regarding this tool? It is still in the lab despite no updates for over 6 months. Is it being retired? Or promoted to production? If you do use the tool, what % of relevance is your goal when optimizing pages?
