What should be cols value if I want to get Backlinks?
-
Hi,
I am forming below url to get backlinks.
http://lsapi.seomoz.com/linkscape/url-metrics/".$trimurl."?Cols=2048
&AccessID=".$accessID."
&Expires=".$expires."
&Signature=".$urlSafeSignature;
For Example, if I keep $trimurl = "www.tatvic.com/" , I get [uid] => 633.
Is this a right way to get number of backlinks ? If not, what should be the 'Cols' value?
Also, how can I ensure that the number of links I am getting is correct ? Is there any way to compare this number with Google search results? This is very essential to check as I got different number of backlinks on different APIs.
Thank you.

Hi Joel,
Thank you for your response.

Hi Ravi,
Thanks for the question!
Unfortunately though, we don't do any API support here. What you'll want to do to get your answer quickly is submit your question in the Developer forum here: http://seomoz.zendesk.com/forums/293196-developer-discussion-group
That's your best option for finding accurate and quick information regarding the API.
Cheers,
Joel.

Is a new website the only way to get better rankings?
Our website is https://www.franklin-bell.com.au. For a while now we've been trying to get a few of our pages on there to get a better rank on google. A local SEO agency told us that some of our pages are not like "the modern standard" for web pages, but our page score for the keywords we want is 90% and higher. Do we really need to completely rebuild the website (it was built in 2014) in order to get better rankings? Or is it sufficient to have the 97% page score and then just get some back links and social media referrals etc. Thanks in advance.

Does anybody really think that SEOMoz provides much value?
Crawl results lag so far behind as to be of questionable value for corrective purposes, and in the fast-paced world of SEO, the service seems right out of the horse-and-buggy era.. I corrected crawl errors two weeks ago, and yet SEOMoz' crawls are still not reflecting this. Furthermore, SEOMoz' idea of where my keywords rank has little to no bearing on reality. I am really disenchanted, and thinking of cancelling my subscription.

Open Site Explorer Question- Link Value?
One of my backlinks is from a site that has a page authority of 74. However, the domain is a domain I purchased and 302'd to my current main domain. What I'm wondering (without getting into why a 301 is better than a 302) is this: does OSE have any tool that shows if there is actually value in a link? My assumption is that despite this domain having a PA of 74, the 302 is not passing over any value. To be clear, I understand that a 302 doesn't pass over any SEO value, but my question is whether or not OSE shows the value of a link? Thanks!
