Can I creat a goal on G.A. ?
I found this video: https://getsatisfaction.com/mindbody/topics/chalk_talk_how_to_setup_google_analytics
Is this the right way to do this?
About goals, a simple goal I would like to create is, one purchase. Can I acheive that?
Not shure about Goals. When I test and purchase, URL is always the same

I'm know only very basics stuff when it is time to play in Analytics, I hope you can provide help in details.
Thank you,
BigBlaze

The way you have it set up, youll only see referrer traffic from your old site. So you can see how many people came from your site, and ended up converting. Youll never know precisely what source those visits originated from using this method.
Technically in Analytics you can track cross domain, but if you aren't an expert you would probably need to hire one. Basically you tell Google to track both domains, and site A needs to be able to transfer cookie data to site B. You would then set up a custom filter that shows URI so that you know what domain is what when looking at landing pages in Analytics. Its probably better explained in Analytics devguides here.
Gets tough to trouble shoot cross domain tracking. But when it works its great for 3rd party carts etc. Good luck!

Hi Jared,
Thank you for the tips.
Is there a way to track ''Traffic Source''? On my site I have it, but in mindbody, I only see our site Referral.
Thank you,
BigBlaze

Yes this is exactly how you do it:
https://getsatisfaction.com/mindbody/topics/chalk_talk_how_to_setup_google_analytics
Basically all you are doing here is creating an analytics profile, and then entering your user account ID from analytics into the Mind & Body back-end (and Mind body does the rest.
Once that is setup properly and working, you can go to analytics, open the profile you created and then choose 'Ecommerce' to see your sales stats.
You should also create another profile, on the same analytics account, for the WP site. Then you can see how many visits you have there, or how many visits to the plan and pricing page, and can compare it (though not in the same window because they are two different profiles) to the sales data you see in your Mind Body profile.
You can't create a goal to see, for instance, how many people landed on page x, clicked button x, and then converted into a sale, because the site is spread across two domains, but you can still track sales. The Ecommerce section in Analytics will also show you conversion rate, abandonment etc once your visitors are referred to your Mind Body page.

I don't think you'll be able to track your sales on GA because you need to have a landing page set as your goal/conversion page.
On my old sites where I had to forward to a 3rd party page, I would set up my goal page as the last page on my site. Obviously that wasn't the best indicator due to cart abandonment, but it gave me an idea of how many people were actually making it to at least that page.

Page Speed or Site Speed which one does Google considered a ranking signal
I've read many threads online which proves that website speed is a ranking factor. There's a friend whose website scores 44 (slow metric score) on Google Pagespeed Insights. Despite that his website is slow, he outranks me on Google search results. It confuses me that I optimized my website for speed, but my competitor's slow site outperforms me. On Six9ja.com, I did amazing work by getting my target score which is 100 (fast metric score) on Google Pagespeed Insights. Coming to my Google search console tool, they have shown that some of my pages have average scores, while some have slow scores. Google search console tool proves me wrong that none of my pages are fast. Then where did the fast metrics went? Could it be because I added three Adsense Javascript code to all my blog posts? If so, that means that Adsense code is slowing website speed performance despite having an async tag. I tested my blog post speed and I understand that my page speed reduced by 48 due to the 3 Adsense javascript codes added to it. I got 62 (Average metric score). Now, my site speed is=100, then my page speed=62 Does this mean that Google considers page speed rather than site speed as a ranking factor? Magento and Analytics - Unique purchases tracking
Hi guys, My ecommerce site is on Magento and in order to integrate it with Google Analytics, I enter my GA account number on the Account Number field in the backend. What surprises me is that some purchases are not tracked at all. So for the month of may GA shows X unique purchases when Magento shows x+5. Can this occur because the customer leaves the site before the confirmation page is shown? Thanks. Regards

Godaddy 301 redirect
Hi, Happy Holidays to all! Although, this is not Thanksgiving, I am very thankful for becoming a member of this site. I ahve learned so much. Here is yet another question hping to have answered by the pundits of this SEOMOZ: I have a site built on site builder and hosted on Yahoo Hosting which does not allow 301 Redirects; I was fortunate enough to have someone help opn this site explain to me how to use Godaddy (they are my domain provide) to 301 through forwarding, work great! My http://domain.com now directs to www.domain.com , the only problem I am having now is, on :sitebuilder" the index page is classified as index.html, thus providing duplicate content again. Can you do two redirects through Godaddy? In othert words, my http://domain.com/ goes to www.domain.com/ eliminating duplicent content, but now I have another URL - http:..domain.com/index.html how do i get rid of that to prevent dup content. Any feed back would be great, Happy Holidays! Jimmy

Internal site referrers
Hi, So I have a segment of my website-let’s call it /examplea, I am trying to figure out how many visits I have to /examplea from all other areas of my website i.e. /exampleb, /examplec etc to /examplea so almost internal site refers to a particular segment of my website, Any thoughts on how to do this within Google analytics ? Does prevent links from being included in Google Webmaster linking sites report?
My client has clean links in edit from nytimes.com. The links do not have nofollow tags. Google Webmaster stopped including links from nytimes.com in the external linking domains report and we don't know why since the URL is still live. The nytimes.com URL includes this tag in the source code: Are links on pages with NOARCHIVE still counted in Google Webmaster linking domains reports?

Duplicate Content From My Own Site?!
When I ran the SEO Moz report it says that I have a ton of duplicate content. The first one I looked at was my home page. http://www.kisswedding.com/ http://www.kisswedding.com/index.html http://kisswedding.com/index.html All of the above 3 have varying internal links, page authority, and link root domains. Only the first has any external links. All of the others only seem to have 1 other duplicate page. It's a difference between the www and the non-www version. I have a verified acct for www.kisswedding.com in google webmaster tools. The non-www version is in there too but has not been verified. Under settings for the verified account (www.kisswedding.com), "Don't set a preferred domain" is checked off. Is that my mistake. And if so, which should I select? The www version or the non-www version? Thanks!

What kind of data storage and processing is needed
Hi, So after reading a few posts here I have realised it a big deal to crawl the web and index all the links. For that I appreciate seomoz.org's efforts . I was wondering what kind of infrastructure they might need to get this done ? cheers, Vishal
