Transfer existing blog to wordpress.org or start a new blog

My blog sits on the wordpress domain http://gardenbeet.wordpress.com/ - it has good page rank and has around 300-400 visits per day - should i move it to my website or Should I start a new blog?
i have a page set up for it on my website but it now has good rank http://www.gardenbeet.com/content/design-blog.html - and now want to keep this URL
am a bit confused - what is the best strategy in terms of SEO?

If I transfer my blog to my website will that mean all my link juice for my main website will be given to all the links i have on my blog.I link to heaps of people from my blog
Also many of my links from my blog point to domains that point to my main website -
given this info would you still advise to move my blog from wordpress to my own domain?

In an ideal world, you would have the blog on your main site and then when you win links to the blog they link popularity is being passed into the main site instead of the gardenbeet.wordpress.com domain.
That said, the gardenbeet.wordpress.com blog is well indexed and can be used to build links to your main site so it's not a total disaster to keep it separate and it may allow you to get better index saturation by ranking pages from both sites for your targeted terms.
If it was me, I would move the blog to my own host and manage just the one site and ensure that it is correctly redirected (301 as suggested below) so that you maintain any traffic and best transfer any search rankings.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/Additionally, Wordpress offer a guided transfer system where they will move your blog to your new host, set it all up, configure any plugins and then support you on the new host for 2 weeks to overcome any initial problems. As a business owner, I would imagine you are pretty busy so as a business owner and SEO I can't recommend this service enough to make sure everything is done right and without a major impact on your time.

If I were you, I would move the blog to my own domain and 301-redirect the wordpress.com urls to my new domain (if that is possible!)

we run a tourism information website about a region in italy, and each year, during special occasions such as christmas, easter and so on we publish an article with a "what to do on Christmas / Easter / .... in the Langhe" (collecting events, activities, etc.). How best to handle on-site blogs for multiple site views in Magento?
Hi, I'm working with a site on Magento with views for UK, US and FR websites. Currently they have a French WordPress Blog that is pulled into the French site view and an English one that appears on both the US and UK views. Of course the problem here is that the US and UK views are duplicating content so these needs sorting super-fast. The plan is to disconnect the US view from the current English blog and create a dedicated US onsite blog. However, should we continue to use WordPress or instead use an alternative blog module or plugin for Magento? Cost is an issue and running three separate blogs and the cost of plugging these into each site view. However, getting these right for SEO is the most important factor here. I'm also concerned about the mess of multiple plugins causing page speed issues etc... My instinct is to go with WordPress, but I'm keen to hear what others think or have experience of.

Evergreen content: Dedicated section or blog posts?
As part of our content strategy we are creating an ongoing series of articles to help both our potential buyers and our users learn about our product and improve their knowledge of industry best practices in general. Internally, we've had some debate as to where we should host this content within our site. We've identified two approaches: Series of blog posts Dedicated knowledge section of the website If we go with the first approach, we would created a dedicated section that indexed all the blog posts. If we went with the second, we'd create blog posts for each of the articles announcing their addition. Is there any difference, SEO wise with the two approaches? What would you recommend? Hi Everyone, Bit of a serious question here for me, Is it worth doing a guest post on a blog more then 2 times? As an example one blog I guest post on has a homepage PR6 which I have posted 2 times, now they have requested another guest post but im thinking would it just be better to guest post on a different blog? What plugins & tactics are you using for Wordpress meta SEO?
Currently I use All-In-One SEO and I quite like how simple it is to setup and it's stable. Is that still one of the best ones? What are you using these days? Is it worth stripping out the superfluous meta tags that Wordpress now puts in? Is there any value to adding meta descriptions to all my Tag pages and if so, is there a good plugin that will auto magically create unique descriptions for these pages? Same goes for my paginated archives. Thanks!
