Can personal name anchors from blog commenting be a risk?

Hello,
I've created a new site early this year.
In an effort to stay on Googles good side I decided not to do any link building. Everything you create yourself is pretty much frowned upon by Google, right?
I have been doing a fair bit of blog commenting where that would add value.
As a result my link profile shows about 50% anchors with my name in it.
Can this be dangerous?

Nope, that should be totally fine, that is, unless your name is 'Quality SEO Services' or 'Cheap Toys'.
Take a look at the link profile of say Distilled.com - a big chunk of the anchor text is the two senior partners names. Likewise, my own site is the same.
Additionally, Penguin is keyword specific, so, it would never happen but if it did and you picked up a penalty for your name, would that even be that big of a problem?
I have a natural penalty for my name in that there is a far cooler and more interesting musician called Marcus Miller so I have absolutely no chance in hell of ranking 1st for my own name and rightly so as most people Googling 'Marcus Miller' are not looking for me, they are looking for my cool, M jazz composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist alter ego (who also worked with Miles Davis).
Honestly, as long as you are adding value with your blog posts and keep using your name or nick name and don't do anything silly, then you have nothing to worry about and likely a lot to gain!

Hi all, My understanding of obtaining backlinks by way of blogpost outreach is that it's best to include several outbound links to related high domain websites within blog post copy (as well as a link to the website you're marketing, obviously) such as this post https://www.scoopearth.com/why-should-you-use-royalty-free-music-for-youtube-videos/ or this one https://small-bizsense.com/how-to-create-quality-content-for-your-business/. So is it best to follow SEO guidelines and include several outbound links within guest blog posts, or is it better to only have the one link to your client's site (to focus the readers attention on it)?

Naked link anchors or long tail anchors ?
Hi, Do naked link anchors such as "www.mysite.com/my-category" have the same SEO power as long tails anchors? What about the UX which such anchors? Lately a site published our back-to-school article with this horrible naked link anchor, it does not look friendly to me as a reader, but I am wondering whether I should bother, how important it is for google and for readers? Minimize risk with links
I have a site with top position within my nish. I have got maybe 40 links in the last 6 months and now im wondering how i can minimize the risk for penalty. Totaly i have maybe 100 links to my site. So my question is what kind of links do i need to minimize the risk.

Second anchor text on page. Does it count?
Back in 2008 there was "proof" that the anchor text of a second link on a page would not be counted for the anchor text.

Blog posts with currently no links question
Hi, If a blog has 100's of quality blog posts all with PR 1-3 but has no internal linking going on, what kind of affect would it have if someone was to go through all the pages using mixed anchor text (where it fits) back to money pages. Would generating 100's of internal links from a blog in a matter of days cause problems / flag up to SE's. I'm guessing it would be best to stagger it over a long period of time. Cheers

Site-wide/Blogroll Anchor Text Linking
I have some blogs that I own with 10,000+ indexed pages of content. I have wondered for sometime if adding anchor text links for my clients on relevant blogs would be helpful or harmful. I realize that having an anchor text link on ONE article page in context is better than 10,000 anchor text links on my blog roll or footer, but I have been reluctant to use this strategy due to the bad press site wide and blogroll links have gotten, What has been YOUR experience with this method?

Can you have too many badge links?
If you badge program becomes really successful, can too many badge links hurt your rankings? Since they are image links that are often placed in the sidebar of blogs, could Google mistake badges as do-follow ads and apply a penalty?

What can be blocking the link juice?
Hey all, I recently found an issue on the website of one of my clients, so I want to hear what could be the reason for it. We are working with that client since September last year and we had created around 300 links to it. However, I recently found out using Majestic SEO and Open Site Explorer that for every page there are like 3-4 links passing value... I checked the whole report immediately, but the thing is that all links are in place and they have relevant URLs and anchortext as wel. I am thinking about an onsite issue, which can be blocking the links (I checked the robots.txt and the http header to see if they return any errors, but no luck). Any suggestions.... Any help is greatly appreciated 🙂 Best Regards
