Index Page lost rankings? Please Help!
-
This morning I ranked highly (Page 1 UK Google) for over 50 keyword search terms for my website http://www.careworx.co.uk
This afternoon my rankings have bottomed out and dropped pages? I have not been de-indexed it appears and many of my sub-pages are still highly ranked.
Would anybody know what has happened? I know of Google Panda but I would've seen results drop before now so I'm very concerned. Don't seem to have lost any links etc and am careful to balance SEO with a mix of techniques to keep Google happy and again, have not been de-indexed.
Can anybody offer advice please, or let me know how I can rectify this.

Fantastic service and hopefully work together in future, though I noticed you work within a different niche
I would love to have a chance to review the report and then contact you to discuss if that's OK please.
I'll email your info@ address in the next minute. Legend!

I have a very thorough report for you to review, would you like that? It has some interesting information that will certainly be of some help. Please be sure to redo your sitemap and submit to www.google.com/webmastertools. I think you should take a look at the report. We can go over it together if you provide me with a contact number. Talk about service

Changed the content 3 to 4 days ago so would coincide with indexing perhaps. Changed back today as it was the first thing I thought of. I have been building links on forums recently and constantly build links through articles, directories and social bookmarking. My link building velocity won't have increased suddenly and have achieved results using these methods. Just not sure where to look to see why my home page has dropped so drastically though.

When was the content change, and how extensive. When did you change back to the content in its existing form?
-
Thanks again. Other affected keywords are 'RGN Jobs' which was 2nd, again now 5th but with a sub page. 'Home Manager Jobs' 'Care Manager Jobs' and 'Nursing Home Jobs'

I will run some basic tests to see where we are. Ill keep you informed as soon as I have an inkling as to what the heck transpired. Respond to this so I can remember to post my answer

Hi Todd. The URL is http://www.careworx.co.uk and particularly the keyword which took my attention was "care home jobs" which was sitting in 6th and climbing. I'm now 12th and for a sub-page rather than index. This is the mystery. Maybe I'm being hit for potential spamming? I haven't hammered the keyphrase in particular?
Would appreciate any help at all. Thank you

The idea of "recovery" should very quickly leave your mind. Are you still maintaining rank with the other search engines? I have seen, on numerous occasions, one days rankings are in the can, and the next day right back to normal. The algorithms are mysterious in their ways :). You can email me your URL if you are uncomfortable with posting it here. info@gavletek.com. I will give it the once over. It is curious that your content has changed, then back to the original. I am smelling something, not sure what it is yet. I need to get your URL to come to a more decisive answer.

Hi Todd
Thanks for coming back to me. I had changed the content slightly and have switched it back and resubmitted my site to Google. If this is the problem, will I be able to claim my places back, or will I have been penalized in some way?
Nothing else from your list though so I'm hoping that's all it is, and that it's recoverable...?

In the past month have you done any of the following:
1. Employed a less than ethical link builder?
2. Written any new content
3. Switched hosts
4. Implemented any re-directs or any other DNS / Server Side coding?
5. When you search are you turning off personalized search (&pws=0)
6. Tried searching from a different computer**please list your URL and Ill see what I can tell from my end. Keep in mind that these things generally happen for either very good reasons, or for no reason at all. **

Duplicate website pages indexed: Ranking dropped. Does Google checks the duplicate domain association?
Hi all, Our duplicate website which is used for testing new optimisations got indexed and we dropped in rankings. But I am not sure whether this is exact reason as it happened earlier too where I don't find much drop in rankings. Also I got replies in the past that it'll not really impact original website but duplicate website. I think this rule applies to the third party websites. But if our own domain has exact duplicate content; will Google knows that we own the website from any other way we are associated like IP addresses and servers, etc..to find the duplicate website is hosted by us? I wonder how Google treats duplicate content from third party domains and own domains. Thanks

Trafic drop after a huge indexation
Hello everyone, My website used to have about 500k indexed pages in Google. After publishing fresh sitemaps and a little local "buzz", it now has about 6 millions indexed pages and the numbers are skyrocketing (GWT says 7 millions and it will probably keep going). My website has a total number of pages of 10 millions. I used to have about 5k organic visite each day, but since the big indexation has started, I now have half less. I read many things about that kind of trafic drop, and it seems to be a normal step when indexing a huge site. I just wanted to know if you guys had any similar experiences and if yes, if there are specific tasks to do in order to recover/develop the organic trafic or if it's just a matter of time. Thanks for your help and share of experiences 😉

Should you include Website Title in all page title tags?
We recently spent analyzing some of the best SEO software companies on the U.S. market fishing for the best practices in SEO and I saw one thing in common : They all had website titles in all the page title tags separated by " | " Is that the best practice for SEO or is it just for Branding? Interestingly enough, the website titles were completely unrelated to the pages' content or keywords. (Here's my personal opinion on what it looked like: "riding on a bicycle" | Ferrari ) But when I looked up the keywords ... ranked #1 or #2 spots, in some serious competition. (So in the example above, "bicycle" would be in the top spot)

6 year old Corporate domain lost all rankings on EMD day.
Hello, our company's website goo.gl/7Q56G lost all our rankings after the EMD algo update. Our domain is NOT a EMD. At the same time, I found that we have about 6000 new, extremely low quality spam backlinks with the same anchor text ("loan"). I saw some of those a few weeks ago, but didn't really pay much attention because I didn't believe Google would think we build those. I didn't get any messages on webmaster central. If this occurred with the EMD update, is it because of the low quality backlinks? Most of the real spammers, brokers (we are the actual funding source) are now dominating the top 10 for our main keyword "merchant cash advance". We were in the top 10 for the past 4 years, why would we get hit so hard now? I really appreciate your advice.

Google indexing my website's Search Results pages. Should I block this?
After running the SEOmoz crawl test, i have a spreadsheet of 11,000 urls of which 6381 urls are search results pages from our website that have been indexed. I know I've read that /search should be blocked from the engines, but can't seem to find that information at this point. Does anyone have facts behind why they should be blocked? Or not blocked?

Google Rankings Jumping Around
Hi, Since January, the Google rankings for one of our sites has been jumping around. Sometimes it's on page 1, then it disappears and comes back around 1 month later. It's strange because it's only a small section of the site that it's happening to. Every other section of the site is doing really well. Just wondered if anyone else is having this problem, or has had it and can suggest any fixes. There are no technical issues, no changes have been made to the site, all I can think is it's Google messing around with their algorithm? Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Karen

Dramatic Rankings Drop
We've been slowly working up the rankings for some targeted keywords, and though it's been slow we have recently moved up to pages 1,2 and 3 for some of these kwyrods. Friday I got the rankings report from SEOMOZ and we have completely dropped from all rankings. Everything is gone. We've dropped at many at 40+ positions almost overnight. I haven't gone into deep research as to why this happened yet, and I have not asked the client if he did anything off-site to hinder our rankings, but I know that I have changed nothing in terms of SEO techniques in the past week...and these techniques have been working and moving us up so I'm at a loss as to why all of a sudden we've lost everything. If anyone has dealt with this issue before or can take a look at this site I'd appreciate it: http://www.EraseDisease.com Thanks
