My Website Ranking is terribly drop
-
So sorry I really need your all help
I'm really frustrated and stressed.
For my website http://www.cma-academy.edu.sg , it has been ranking on Google 1st page (with the keywords "design course/design courses") for the past over 6 months and the traffic was really good...
But it has been almost 2 months since the big drop... my ranking all is gone in just a week and now it's even not on the top 50.. While my competitors websites are stand stil.
I seriously really want to cry because of this.. And I'm sure there is nothing much wrong with my SEO to be abandoned by Google like this and Google still index my webpage, but the crawling rate is so much slow than before..
I really need some help from the expert, especially from seomoz.. Please help me in this, I'm willing to answer any questions as well...

Dear Larry,
Yes yes I can try doing that. Have been trying to figure out about building back-link and stuff.
But I actually had link back to my website www.cma-academy.edu.sg from www.awardslab.com and www.madglobal.org but I don't know why my metrics doesn't show any number about it...
Is there any special tips about building link back to the page? If my domains are under the same hosting, does it count by domain or by my main hosting?
Do I have to give exact seperate link or in-content link is okay?
Many thanks all of you for valuable advices!

Awesome Angie - glad that you are responding and taking it in.

Guest blogging is a good way to begin - for authority, trust, leadership (and links).
-
Yes, you need to promote more. Use social media to connect with leaders in the space. Retweet and "like" them, and provide useful information to your/their community.

Cheers, and thanks for taking action!

Hi Jon, Well being even more direct is still good. I m really willing to take more and more advices
Yes from before until now I've been only try my best to optimize the keywords and haven't start on link building. I haven't work on backlink building before, do you have any tips? Because my website is about Design School - Education, so I don't know how should i attach link to other blog...
About my traffic to website, it's slightly decreasing as well, because most of our clicks are from Google Organic search from back then till now, so I'm really having big headache about this, I really need more exposure on the internet.
May I know what is KWT? Can I have a full name instead? Coz I search about it on Google, the result shows Kuwait Google hahaha.
Thanks a lot Jon, may I know what is your idea about the design and front page? I'm really welcome advices and complains (if there is)
Again thanks a lot in this

Hey Angie!
This looks like an approach or thinking of "optimize for keywords/SEO" site/page only. There is no/little trust built here. The "Algo" doesn't respond well to it. Build more quality links, and expand your social influence, including Google+. Use the "piggyback" method for this: Find out who's trusted that you can follow and engage with, guest blog with, etc. (this takes time). Do this for your niche, not "everybody".
But, before that - (important) - what's the % conversion rate to sales? How many sales do you get per day/week/month? I would worry about figuring out your lifetime and/or average visitor value is (you probably don't know), and work different traffic strategies into the equation, not just SEO. Then, as traffic increases test pages (A/B) against keywords to pages match from your analytics, and tune towards sales.
The keywords you mention have very little traffic (exact match in Google KWT), and you would want to do a more complete kw research. I think you may be focusing too much on rankings here, it's not important.
Finally - the design and front page is cluttered. I don't know what I should be doing. Simplify.
Sorry to be so direct.

Hi Angie - this site doesn't appear to have the link profile to have justified the first page rankings in the first place. Is the site just 8 months old?
Could you try doing some some legitimate, white-hat link building efforts and seeing if that has any impact?
My sense is that you just need build up the link profile a bit, in a non-spammy, real way. Could you try doing that?

Dear Irish,
Thanks so much for answer.
From GA, my traffic are still doesn't have any big drop. But the traffic decreased since end of August.
About my keyword ranking from my personal report, on 6th September the keywords are still okay until the 10th, my page is flushed down page by page then slowly disappeared.
Here is the crawl rate on my Google Webmaster Tools:
For non-www : http://i.imgur.com/cT5sK.png
For www : http://i.imgur.com/2FQUW.png
I also don't know how come Google Crawling Rate is different for the same site. (in my Google Webmaster Tools i have added non-www and www)
Oh about the OSE, my site, yes it doesn't have any backlink to it, not so much but yea, so far it's okay with the ranking so i haven't start to build backlink to my webpage yet (coz I also not so good and sure about building backlink...)
Up until now I have been using SEOmoz to fixing all the crawl rate like keyword in page, or fix crawling error or fix meta tag...
Really thank you for helping me in this case, please feel free to check with me in anything

Hi Angie,
From GA, what date did you notice the drop in keyword rankings and traffic? I ask because it could be attributed to an algorithm update from Google.
From looking at OSE, the domain and page metrics of your site are basically non existent. How long has it been operational?
Up until now, what have you been doing in terms of on-page and off-page SEO to achieve the rankings you had before? The more information you can provide, the easier it will be for us to offer advice

Google crawl drop
the crawl request of my company site: https://www.dhgate.com/ has dropped nearly over 95%, from daily 6463599 requests to 476493 requests at 12:00am on 9th, Oct (GMT+8). This dramatic dropping trend not only showed in our GSC crawl stats report but also our company's own log report. We have no idea what’s going on. We want to know whether there is an update of google about crawlling, or is this the issue of our own site? If something is wrong with our site, in what aspects would you recommend us to check, analyze and accordingly optimize?

Setting Up A Website For Redirects
I've got an old defunct domain with a lot of backlinks to individual pages. I'd like to use these backlinks for link juice by redirecting them to individual pages on the new domain (both sites belong to the same company). What is the best way to set this up? I presume I need some kind of hosting & site, even if it's just a default Wordpress install, which I can then use to set up the redirects? Would it be best done using .htaccess file for 301 redirects or some other way?

Will Google crawl and rank our ReactJS website content?
We have 250+ products dynamically inserted and sorted on our site daily (more specifically our homepage... yes, it's a long page). Our dev team would like to explore rendering the page server-side using ReactJS. We currently use a CDN to cache all the content, which of course we would like to continue using. SO... will Google be able to crawl that content? We've read some articles with different ideas (including prerendering): http://andrewhfarmer.com/react-seo/

http://www.seoskeptic.com/json-ld-big-day-at-google/ If we were to only load the schema important to the page (like product title, image, price, description, etc.) from the server and then let the client render the remaining content (comments, suggested products, etc.), would that go against best practices? It seems like that might be seen as showing the googlebot 1 version and showing the site visitor a different (more complete) version.0 -

Suggestions on Website Recovery
Hello Mozzers! I have been tasked with recovering a site from partial link penalty that was previous brought to my attention for this website www.active8canada.com. Upon reviewing the site backlinks and reporting info in Google webmaster tools, I found there was no penalty showing, could it have expired? We spent the last few months doing link cleanup as we recognize that there was some bad links that needed to be addressed. We requested removal of all the bad links after spending time categorizing all of them. Targeting commercial anchor text and bringing those numbers back to acceptable levels. Following this we did a disavow of the bad links which could not be removed through requests. We are actively building out additional content for the website as we recognize that some pages have thin content. We have earned some links as well to show some positive signals during the cleanup but have seen no change for better or worse. My question is, does anyone else see anything else we could be missing here? Should I revisit links again? Some of the links we disavowed are still showing in our backlink reports, but I cross referenced our disavows with the existing backlink profile to try and get an accurate sense of the remaining links. We never saw a decline in ranks further after the disavow, so I'm lead to believe that the links we removed had little, if any impact. I am a little hesitant to begin earning new links through content and partnership outreach as I still feel something is off that I can't quite put my finger on. It was previously confirmed that there was a penalty, but without that showing now in Google webmaster tools I'm grasping at any possible angle I may have missed. If anyone had a couple minutes to spare to shed some light on this situation, it would be greatly appreciated!

UK website ranking higher in Google.com than Google.co.uk
Hi, I have a UK website which was formerly ranked 1st in Google.co.uk and .com for my keyword phrase and has recently slipped to 6th in .co.uk but is higher in position 4 in Google.com. I have conducted a little research and can’t say for certain but I wonder if it is possible that too many of my backlinks are US based and therefore Google thinks my website is also US based. Checked Google WmT and we the geo-targeted to the UK. Our server is also UK based. Does anyone have an opinion on this? Thanks

PageRank Dropped?
The Symptoms About a year ago, our site EZWatch-Security-Cameras.com had a PageRank of 5. Several months ago it sunk to a 4 and we were a little worried, but it wasn't anything to really sweat over. At the end of january we noticed it had dropped again to a PR3, again we were a little more worried. When the farmer update hit we suddenly dropped to a PR1 but our traffic wasn't seriously affected, and in march most of the pages regained their PageRank. I noticed this morning that our homepage rank has once again dropped to a PR1. I am waiting to see if there has been any significant drop in traffic, but I haven't spotted anything that stands out significant, aside from an increase in the average cost for our paid search account of about 5%. The Problems We've Spotted Keep in mind that our current website is fairly old (2005) and we are ready to launch a new one. Our current website is running on X-Cart, and we have a few modules added on. Problem 1 - One such module handles a custom kit builder, this area has not been restricted by crawlers and it could be generating a large amount of needless page crawls. Problem 2 - Another module allows "SEO friendly URL's" according to the developer, but what actually happens is a visitor could type in any-url-they-like-for-product-id**-p-11111.html**, where the underlined section is any character string (or lack of), followed by either a product or category indicator and the id for said item. This causes a massive amount of virtual page duplications, and the module is encrypted so we aren't able to modify it to include rel="canonical" tags. Obviously this causes massive amounts of seemingly duplicate content. Problem 3 - In addition to the regular URL duplication, we also recently acquired the domain EZWatch.com (our brand name, easier to remember). That domain name responds with the content from our regular website, and it will be the primary domain name when we change shopping carts. With the second domain name the content could also be considered a duplication. The Solutions We're Working On The website we use was designed in 2005, and we believe that it's reached the end of its useful life. Over the past several months we have been working on an entirely new shopping cart platform, designed from the ground up to be more efficient operationally-speaking, and to provide more SEO control. The new site will be ready to launch within days, and we will start using the new Domain name at the same time. We are planning on doing page-to-page301 redirects for all pages with at least 1 visit within the past 180+ days, according to our Google Analytics reports. We are also including rel="canonical" on all pages. We will also be restricting dynamic sections of our website via the robots.txt file. So What More Can We Do? With your collective SEO experience, what other factors could also be contributing to this decline?
