Need to build a lot of new pages - up to 1,000 - where do I start?
-
We have about 300 main keywords and we are receiving an almost equivalent amount of traffic for long tail phrases.
These long tail phrases are more specific though, and are almost different queries entirelly.
For example
" keyword " is generally the same question as "keyword for sale"
but
"keyword" is not necessarily the same question as "aftermarket keyword"
So my question is, how do you go about creating a BUNCH of new pages?
-
If you truly have 300 pages that you are trying to rank for you would need to create useful data for each of these pages.I am getting the felling you are doing your keyword research with "Broad" parameters instead of [exact] paramaters. If you are using Googles Adwords Tool be sure to check the [exact] box on the left side of the screen and uncheck the "Broad" box.
300 keywords is a ton of keywords to target, and usually executed by large e-commerce sites.

Does Anchor Text in Links Count When Google Looks at Overall Keywords on the Page?
So, on our site, we have a list of related blog posts on a page that focuses on bamboo flooring. These blogs posts have anchor text like "What's the best bamboo flooring?" "How to install bamboo flooring." "Yada yada bamboo flooring yada." Because the main keyword for the page is bamboo flooring, would the presence of these words within anchor text on the page be considered as keywords on the bamboo flooring page, affecting that page and possibly stuffing within that page?

Keyword ranking stuck in neutral... Suggestions needed
Hi everyone. I wanted to make a post in hopes of getting some opinions on my next course of action when it comes to SEO. I have worked for my current company for 3 years and raised their keyword ranking from 39% to 55% (according to MOZ's keyword tracker). I did this mostly through improving on-page SEO for each keyword. I think the on-page SEO is as good as it can get? Just so you guys know there are 101 keywords they want to rank for nationally. We currently rank for 56. My current company has really starting to ask me more about the percentage we are at and they of course want it to grow (or show consistent growth) as time passes. Since May 2014 it seems to have fluctuated each week from 50% to 58%. Some other info: We are well known in our industry We post on social media almost every day We are at event trade shows We are a global company We have tons of ads in industry magazines etc. We have industry news sites write about us and link to us We are consistent with press releases (a few a month) With that being said, where should I go from here to get those number to grow? As I mentioned, my company is starting to look at these numbers more.

Penalty for on-page optimizing too many pages?
Hey in the process of building a new site in the fitness niche - targeting keywords such as: <colgroup><col width="387"></colgroup>

how to get a flat stomach
how to get rid of belly fat fast
how to get rid of belly fat for women
how to get rid of love handles fast
how to get skinny
how to have more energy
how to loose weight fast
how to lose love handles
how to lose love handles fast
| how to lose lower belly fat | All these keywords get decent search volume. My question, alot of the content for these keywords would be similar for example - "how to get a flat stomach", "how to lose love handles" and "how to get skinny" would pretty much have similar content. I could build a single page for all these keywords but i loose all the ranking benefits from doing on-page optimization such as creating a page for each of these keywords and optimizing it for each of these keywords (e.g. putting the keyword in the URL and Title) But if i build individual pages, to me it doesn't look natural optimizing multiple pages for the keyword terms, plus i loose the benefits of building a single page (e.g. less costly, not as much outreach activity required, etc) You could argue however that if you create individual pages for each of these keywords you are addressing the query directly as theres a slight difference between "how to lose love handles and how to get a flat stomach. But i guess thats up to google to decide. So how would you approach this? Cheers, Chris0 -
On Page Optimization
Hey its question time for me today.....lol, I an using the SEOmoz On Page Optimization Tool and so far I have optimized my home page for one term"web design edinburgh" started at an F now its an A (Good Boy!) So I wasn wondering what poeples views were on the best way to do this? What I was thinking about doing was optimizing my site for 1 main Keyword/ Phrase per page. For instance Home Page - Keyphrase - "web design edinburgh" Web Design Page - "Web Development" not sure to make it" web development" or "web development edinburgh" SEO page - "Search Engine Optimisation" and so on........ So I would end up with a potential of say 6 landing pages each optimised for a certain keyword/phrase! Is this a good idea, or is there a better method I could employ? Thanks for sharing again. Kind Regards, Craig Fenton IT
