Hey there

When we go to our webmaster tools there is a orange triangle. The issue is that Google's robot can not access our site.

Does anyone know why this could be?

After the first step and Gerd's second step, I would check to see if the dns and/or firewall settings are not the issue (I would also assume that your hosting account is already verified).

First stop would be to go to GWMT and then go to "Health -> Fetch as Google" and test the homepage and some public pages.

Have a look at the results provided by GWMT.

Moving wordpress to it's own server

Our company wants to remove wordpress from our current windows OS server at provider 1 and move it to a new server at provider 2. Godaddy handles our DNS. I would like to have it on the same domain without masking. I would like to make a DNS entry on godaddy so that our current server and our new server can use the same URL (ie sellstuff.com). But I only want the DNS to direct traffic to our current server. The goal here is to have the new server using the same URL as the old server so nothing needs to be masked once traffic is redirected with a 301 rule in the htaccess file. But no traffic outside of the 301 rule will end up going to the new server. I would then like to edit the htaccess file on our current server to redirect to the new servers IP address when someone goes to sellstuff.com/blog. Does this make since and is it possible?

Does Google see the connection between our 2 websites?

We have a main website and we created a satellite site to support the original one with backlinks. Can I add both sites to the same Google Analytics profile? My programmer said that there is no reason to use a new GA profile for the satellite site, since Google will see the connection between the 2 websites via scripts, Google Plus buttons and other programmed solutions. So, is there a reason to use a new GA account for the satellite site (and later the new satellite sites) as well?

Can anyone speak to the pros and cons of installing mod_expire on an Apache server?

We recently had mod_deflate and mod_expire installed on our server in an attempt to improve pagespeed. They worked beautifully, at least we thought they did. Google's pagespeed insights tools evaluated our homepage at 65 before the install and 90 after...major improvement. However, we seem to be experiencing very slow load on our product pages. There is a feeling (not based on any quantifiable data) that mod_expire is actually slowing down our page load, particularly for visitors who do not have the page cached (which would probably be most visitors). We are using Hotlink Protection on our server for jpg mostly. What is moz.com crawl url address so we can allow it in the list of allowed domains? The reason is that the crawl statistics gives our a ton of 403 Forbidden errors. Thanks.

Proxy Server & Wordpress - Need Help

I'm looking for some guidance/expert opinions on using a proxy server with Wordpress. When a consumer goes to ourwebsite.com/blog, our IT department would like to set up the request to be “proxied” to the Wordpress Blog site. They would like to add a header to the web request to identify that traffic as coming from through the proper URL. Should someone or a crawler attempt to access the WordPress site directly (blog.ourwebsite.com) they would be client side redirected to the proper URL ourwebsite.com/blog. This is WAY out of my league here, so I figured I would ask the experts. Will this negatively effect our SEO?

Moved to a New Server IP Address

Hi, I just upgraded everything, a much faster server. I have significantly improved page load times. I have 2 questions 1. I also upgraded my blog which is a component of the site. I could NOT redirect post-for-post so made single 301 redirect from all pages from the old blog to the root of new blog. I did not care about the old blog, the posts are irrelevant now. Will the massive redirects be a problem? 2. I had some DNS issues and other problems that took me about 24 hours to fix during the transition. The site is up an fully operational. Will I be penalized? If so, how long Thank you,

Hi i have found a website on my dedicated server that is not mine by using a number of tools including http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/web-sites-on-web-server/ the site that i found that was not mine is buycostumes.com i contacted my hosting company and told them and this is the reply i got back We have checked the issue and it appears there have a bug/glitch in this site, because after we checked the mentioned domain we found that this website respond on IP which is not our and is not assisgned in your Dedicated server as you may preview below: Found 3 domains hosted on the same web server as buycostumes.com (66.45.3.44). buycostumes.com (linkback) target.com (linkback) www.certifigroup.com (linkback) Thus if you find any issues on your web server, please mention them in this ticket and we will be glad to provide you with further assistance on this matter. Targeting City via Web Server

Here's a question I can't seem to find an answer to. Does web hosting within a targeting city make a different in the engines? For example, a site targeting the Denver area, with web hosting in Denver. Will this boast the ranking or is targeting limited to countries? Thanks!
