How do I get Update Date in SERP snippets as opposed to the Date Created?
-
Option 1. Put text at the bottom of the page that says "updated on..." (example)
Option 2. Update your page and resubmit it to google through GWMT.
Option 3. Regularly update your page and Google will figure it out on their own.

Google Serps Not Showing HTTPS in Front of URL
Hi Everyone, We implemented the HTTPS change to our four websites about 6 months ago. I have found something that I feel is strange. The homepage of each website shows www.domain.com, but all the internal pages show https://www.domain.com/page. If you click through it shows it as secure, but I feel that because it is happening on all four websites, that something was done incorrectly. Here is one Google SERP: https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1&biw=1920&bih=947&ei=gq9GWpizBuuF_Qa_p5e4Bw&q=tanzanite+jewelry+designs&oq=tanzanite+jewelry+designs&gs_l=psy-ab.3..0l2.130446.136028.0.136152.29.17.4.7.9.0.207.2214.7j9j1.17.0....0...1c.1.64.psy-ab..1.28.2350...0i131k1j0i22i30k1.0.BA5-meGmuA0 As you can see, our site displays with no https, but all the internal pages do. It just worries me as I have seen our internal pages increasing in positioning, but not our homepage. Any ideas?

Pages Not Getting Indexed
Hey there I have a website with pretty much 3-4 pages. All of them had a canonical pointing to one page and the same content ( which happened by mistake ) I removed the canonical URL and added one pointing to its page. Also, I added the original content that was supposed to be there to begin with. It's been weeks but those pages are not getting indexed on the SERPS while the one that they use to point with the canonical does.

Updating Domain Yearly for Branding Purposes?
We host an event every year which updates it's branding to include the year (Ex. Acme 2013, Acme 2014, etc.). We used to use the branded domains (acme2012.com) to redirect to the event microsite on off of our main content site (ex. acme2012.acme.com). Just this year our event managers decided host the event on it's own domain, separating it from the content site. So it is now acme2013.com. Their strategy is to update the domain every year to include the current year, so next year the domain would be acme2014.com. I understand the use of the domain for marketing purposes but I feel like it could be hurting our SEO by doing this. Should we revert to our original strategy or is this okay with the proper setup? I should note that because this is an event promotion site, the site template and content updates every year.

Unable to Get Back to Performance Levels Six Months After Attack
We work on a fine art site. In May we were attacked and blocked by Google for about 12hrs until we cleared all affected pages and files. Our response was pretty fast, and to be fair, so was Google's action to unblock us. However, shortly afterwards, the entire site's page rank disappeared, it never came back. I also believe people are now speculating that Google's PR updates are either overdue or have stopped, so I can't gauge PR at all. One way we can gauge potential for position is that we remain top 1-6 in Bing for most terms. Moz authority reflects this as well. An example: http://www.bing.com/search?q=doug+hyde+prints&qs=n&form=QBLH&filt=all&pq=doug+hyde+prints&sc=6-15&sp=-1&sk= https://www.google.co.uk/search?rls=en&q=doug+hyde+prints These are the types of position we occupied on Google prior to the drop. We've been told there are no manual actions against us, nevertheless we've worked to clean out any duplicate content and disavow some link trawling/people directory sites that duplicated a lot of our content. Page code has been cleaned up, pages optimised, loading times reduced where possible etc. etc.. This chap seems to have had similar issues back in 2011: http://moz.com/community/q/not-ranking-well-after-site-was-hacked Any input/experience gratefully received. Working our wotsits off to generate traffic off no PR and Adwords at the moment and it's a struggle. I've actually got new sites to rank faster and better than this in 3 months, so this is one big penalty. Roland

/home-2 showing in SERPS but not the homepage
I'm in the process of having a site built using WP as the cms, and keeping SEO in mind while it's being produced. Because I'm experimenting with title/meta desc I'm checking rankings each day on whatsmyserp dot com. During development I noticed one day the ranking for websitename.com had disappeared and websitename.com/home-2 was ranking. I went into pages of the wp account and deleted the 2nd homepage that had been created for some reason, and that was over half a week ago now. /home-2 is still ranking even though it's non-existent and the actual homepage url isn't ranking at all. Any suggestions on what I should do/why this is happening? Thanks for any help

Yahoo Local SERPs Index Issue
I recently updated all my website page Titles and was checking to see how many have been crawled so far. On Yahoo/Bing I noticed something very strange when entering site:bandpages.ie in the search field. Selection Buttons (top of SERPs): 'Web' search shows all my pages indexed 'UK' has has most pages 'Only In Ireland' has just 1 page indexed - which is the site RSS Feed and nothing else! The site has been live for 2 years now. Considering we don't trade with the UK and our main focus is here in Ireland - what is going wrong? Why doesn't Yahoo/Bing index list the site pages in the Ireland index? Any insights or solutions appreciated...
