First thing I would say, Morris, is that, in my opinion, if it's an ecommerce site that you depend on for income, it absolutely should NOT be on shared hosting.
It needs to be on at least a VPS (Virtual Private Server) so that you can ensure your site won't be negatively affected by other sites sharing/abusing server resources. All you need is one outage or slowdown due to shared hosting problems to cost you far more than the increased cost of a VPS.
Not to mention a VPS can be tuned much more specifically for your particular website's needs. It can also easily add resources (CPU and memory) as needed when your site gets busier, or during peak traffic season.
That said, your current server definitely has a problem. Its time-to-first-byte is almost 5 seconds. It should be in the range of about .5 to 1 second. Since your overall load time is abut 8 seconds, it means your server is wasting over 60% of its time waiting to process the page.
As far as recommendations for a host, I've been using Site5 for some time now and have been very pleased. They offer fully-managed VPS for around $55-$80 per month (depending on your site's resource needs) including excellent off-site backups.
There are other good VPS providers out there, I just have personal experience with Site5. Note that you will want a fully-managed VPS unless you are already experienced in server administration, which most of us aren't
Happy to help if you have further questions.
Paul
P.S. The configuration of the site can have an major impact on the speed, regardless of hosting. Yours seems pretty well configured, but there are still some tweaks available that would speed it up some more.

Try BlueHost for managed/shared hosting. I would stay away from GoDaddy and HostGator -- way too slow.

I use BigCommerce great support and a fair price. I would investigate if something is wrong on your site. It loaded very slow and curious if there is a problem with the page and not the host. I have heard mostly good things about godaddy.

Wow, does a website's hosting company have that much affect on SEO?
As a small SEO agency, we also handle hosting for some of our clients. Our clients' sites are Wordpress. We set them up with a Bluehost account with a dedicated IP address, and spend a lot of time focusing on load times (implementing a CDN, optimizing images, installing W3 Total cache and using recommended settings, etc.). Last month, we had a client inform us that they are bringing their web marketing efforts in-house, so they switched to a new hosting provider and took their (existing) site to the new hosting company. They kept their old Google Analytics code installed, so I can still see how much traffic they're getting. Since switching to a new host, despite the load times taking longer, no CDN, and other errors that came up prior to us spending time "optimizing" the website, their organic traffic has increased by 26%. Same exact website, same inbound link profile. According to Webmaster Tools, their impressions and clicks have also seen dramatic increases. So now, obviously, I'm considering looking into other options for the hosting of our other clients' websites. From your experience, and especially when it comes to Wordpress websites, do you think that a hosting company can make that big of a difference in terms of SEO? I've heard of positive results from people who have used WP-Engine, and other Wordpress-dedicated hosting companies, but I just find it hard to believe that we spent so much time on load-time-specific ranking factors and come to find out, a different hosting company would have made a huge difference. Any thoughts/feedback?

Web Hosting and CDN for Wordpress Site Load Speed - Suggestions Needed
We all know that website load speed is more important than ever. While I love the look and feel of parallax and Wordpress, I want to do everything I can to keep the load speed down. I see a lot of conflicting information regarding web hosting services, CDN services and other service (Cloudflare for example). I am looking to hear from those with their own experiences to let me know what they think is the ideal setup for a parallax Wordpress site is as far as which services to use, including: 1. 3. Any other service or product that would help to provide and extremely fast site load time. Thank you!0 -
What structured data would you recommend marking up for a companies 'service'?
Hi, I'm finally starting to use structured data in my clients sites now that Google has embraced it so much. I have a client that is a cosmetic physician and has associated services. I thought it would be beneficial to markup each service according to http://schema.org/Service I'll be doing a similar thing with a new local surveyors website too. I'm just wondering if it is worth doing and what Schema properties would you recommend using. For the cosmetic physician I'm thinking of: description

WordPress blog hosted on GoDaddy domain mapping help
We set up a WP blog that's hosted through GoDaddy. For various reasons, we purchased a URL to use to get through the technical build and set up and are trying to map that to a subdomain of our company website. (We can't host it on our own server, unfortunately). My question is: for WP blogs hosted via WP you can buy a domain mapping upgrade and I'm trying to find a similar plugin that could offer the same thing that would apply to our GoDaddy hosting and point to our subdomain (GD apparently doesn't offer the domain mapping). Anyone have any thoughts, please?

Host suggestions?
I'm currently hosting with Hostgstor and was pleased with the service untl my site started to get big enough to run into problems. The unlimited bandwidth and unlimited disk space sounds attractive but they don't tell you that they throttle your database connections. Now that I have grown my site to the point where I am getting a few thousand visitors per day I am starting to have issues. I had an article get really popular and the server couldn't handle it. I'm looking for a host that will tolerate some spikes in traffic. (it's ok if I get charged more). I've heard good things about Pair hosting and I'll likely go with them but I thought I'd ask for a few more opinions first. Thanks!

Hosting and Domains in the US
Hello, In the UK I have my domains hosted with a company and my hosting with another company. I can change the DNS so the domain works with the webhosting. Can this be setup in the USA in the same way or does the hosting and domain need to be with the same company? Thanks.
