I am using 15 inch LG monitor, and after just this update I only see one organic result on first page for "seo company" keyword. I don't know what will going to happen in tablets, ipads etc.
Please find attached screen shot from my computer. I am using Mozilla Firefox and window XP operating system.

No doubt the left hand real estate will be used for Google's benefit, time will tell if it's for paid search or for semantic results (which keeps a user on Google longer rather than them heading off to another website for information).
The more content above the fold would most likely affect CTR of the top three ads, but if it's more ads then perhaps it will also make the first page ads more accessible for high cost keywords for clients with medium to low budgets.
It hasn't been rolled out in New Zealand yet.... but I'm sure it's coming!

Yes, I have noticed this sporadically and now it seems permanent. I have to confess, I've had a few "Who moved my cheese?" moments...lol. I had a lot of trouble finding the "related searches" field. I still have to look for it every time I want to do fast and dirty keyword research. They've changed the image search too and moved the links to search tools from the left nav to the top. Right now I don't like it, but I think that's only because it's different and I can't find anything. Ask me again in 6 months

Using Google Reviews for non local business
Hi All, We are deciding on what site is best to capture reviews from customers and I'm just not sure what is the ideal option. We are a SaaS business with multiple offices in different locations but the specific geographies are not really relevant to our customers. Is it worth focusing on google reviews so that when our brand is searched there are plenty of nice shiny stars (plus maybe they can be added into adwords adverts as well...). Search volume for the keywords we don't yet rank for are not massive although still important. Alternatively should we be thinking about something like G2Crowd. None of our competitors are doing anything so there's no real need to our muscle them on a review website and I don't think our end user will visit these sites before buying but we would point to them and say 'hey, look at all these great reviews'. Finally I searched my old company recently who and just under news results were facebook reviews. Maybe that's another option. All advice welcome. All advice appreciated.

Has anyone noticed an Adwords algorithm change early this month?
I was digging into one of my accounts and noticed that previous well-performing ads were not being shown this month. My settings are set to Optimize for conversions: Show ads expected to provide more conversions but whichever way I look at the data, ads that were doing well previously are now only being shown about 0.1% of the time. Has anyone experienced this before or know of a possible Adwords algorithm change?

Can a Google Local listing be merged with a Goolge+ page?
I have a google+ company page set up and have recently added a Google local listing but have noticed it automatically sets up an additional company G+ page. Is there a way to merge the two? Can not see any reference to this issue on Google Q&A. Thanks, Stacey

Google Penguin 2.0 - How To Recover?
Hi all,
Industry News | | chanel27
Last year, we have engaged a SEO company who promised to bring us to the first page on Google. But after 4 months, we actually found out that he might be using doing non quality mass link building tactic and this caused our ranking for all 3 sites we given to him to drop in ranking overnight on 22nd May 2012 after the Google Penguin 2.0 rolled out. Is there anything we can do to recover?1 -
What are the click-through rates by position for organic search on Google by industry?
I'm interested in knowing what the average CTRs are by industry (specifically for the credit card industry). Here's an example of what I want in aggregate (not by industry): http://searchengineland.com/organic-click-thru-rates-tumbling-study-97338 Is this information available?

Google Product Feeds - New Requirements
We are in the jewelry industry, and for Google product feeds, we list our products under "Apparel & Accessories > Jewelry". As of the new Google feed requirements, they are saying that we have to choose a gender and color for each product that is in the Apparel category. While this makes sense for clothes, it doesn't exactly for jewelry because many items are for both men and women, and there's not always a color associated with each product. I can enter some of these fields manually, but with 5,000+ products, it makes it difficult w/ each update. Anyone have solutions for this? Or a way around it? Can we just include those fields but leave them blank? Any other solutions?

What does the New Frontier of Search Look Like? (Mobile and Tablet)
I'd like to start a discussion thread on the direction of search as it applies to mobile and tablet. Jeff Haden, one of our Inc.com contributors, wrote an article headline stating that SIRI would be the end of SEO. However, what the article really talks about is the direction mobile search is likely to take: 1. Search results will be bypassed 2. Even more emphasis on local 3. PPC will be irrelevant 4. Emphasis on social media I think these insights are fairly intuitive and it will be really interesting to see how the medium for mobile and tablet develops. It will be interesting to see what technologies will shape the means by which users find information and not just the search intent of the user. Please add any insights you may have or good reads you'd like to share here.
