Has anyone else noticed a dramatic drop in Facebook post impressions?

One of the clients I manage has over 5,000 Facebook fans. Whenever I'd make a post, it usually would get ~700-1,000 impressions.
About two weeks ago I did my first promoted post. Ever since then, all the regular posts I've done have only gotten ~100 impressions . . . out of 5,325!
I'm wondering if Facebook, once learning that you are willing to pay for promoted posts, secretly lowers your impression count so that you will pay for promoted posts more often, or if the timing of my promoted post was just a coincidence, and everyone started to see a decrease about two weeks ago.
Does anyone know what's going on?

I have heard others complain of drops after starting ads to promote posts but i have never seen any data to support it.

2 Facebook Company Pages - Best way to merge
Hi I am about to set up a Facebook company page under our current brand name Key - however in March we'll be re-branding to Manutan UK. I didn't want to wait until March to start using Facebook (we're so behind!) but when we re-brand what are the best steps to take. Here are my options - I'd love some help! 1. Set up a Key company to actively use now & a separate Manutan page just to secure the page - only using Key until March then merge the business pages (I did read however Facebook won't allow it if the names are different?) 2. Set up a Key page now & in March request a name change of the page & vanity URL We obviously don't want to lose any likes/followers we've gained between now & March Does anyone have any advice or experience with this? Opinions on offering an incentive/discount for Facebook sharing
I often see sites offering a discount for liking their Facebook page, but very rarely do I see sites offering a discount for sharing a link or their page. What are your opinions of this, is it something that Facebook could frown upon? Are people likely to just share, get the discount and then remove the post etc?

Tools for Automating Facebook Posts?
Hey Mozzers, We're revamping our social media campaign, and I'm looking for a tool that will allow me to schedules social media posts (Facebook specifically) in advance, so I'll only have to knock them out once a week. A cursory Google search has provided me with some options (HootSuite, etc) but I'd love to hear from people who actually use these services. What's your social media automation tool of choice, and how has it worked out for you? Thanks!

Anyone use the new "Social Settings" in Google Analytics?
In the past couple of months, Google rolled out a tab called "Social Settings" in the Admin area (see image). It's an optional setting, and Google is rather vague about what it does. GA already tracks social in "Traffic Sources," so what is the advantage of using Social Settings? If you've used these new settings, what have your experiences been? Were the settings helpful? Is there a method, program, or app to view how many Facebook shares each page/content has on a website. Is there a plugin if the site is a wordpress blog? I'm looking to see how many shares or top shared content are on a specific website. Thanks!

Extremely useful facebook app. Which is it ?
Hi, Just noticed what to me and our ecomm site seemed like an extremely useful way of advertizing on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/?sk=lf#!/lindexnorge . At the time of writing its the 2nd one on this facebook site. This which I assume is an app gives in this case 30% off on dress of your own choosing. Clicking the box sends you an email from facebook with info. It specifies in pop up after clicking that your mail adress has not been shared with the ecom site. There is also a smaller line on bottom were default is to share this with your friends on facebook. You have to change this in order not to. Within 24 hours this one is up to 20k uses and that is quite a lot in a small country like norway. Anyone understand which app this is or how it can be done ? Dan Lærum

Should I post these viral videos/photos on my website?
I started posting viral videos and stuff that I found on reddit and youtube on my facebook fan page. It's getting a lot of attention and creating more opportunities for bonding with my fans/customers. I'm just wondering what you guys think about reposting some of this stuff on my blog...do you think it would be worth the time and effort? I've experimented with a few and it really does draw traffic to my site...and gets me facebook shares. But the traffic is very poorly converting. So, now I'm trying to decide if the extra time it takes (i.e. 5-10 minutes to write a blog post and include the video imbed code vs. 20 seconds to just hit the "share" button) is worth it. What do you think?
