Content Duplication for Job Posting
-
Hello! I am responsible for SEO of a job portal of a recruitment agency. We get 30-40 jobs every month which we post on a) our job portal b) other job portals (like monster, career builder, Naukri , etc). How do avoid content duplication? We can only post the same job descriptions everywhere.
We always post the job on our site first and then the other job portals**. How to ensure that Google knows our portal is the original job posters and not other job portals.** Thank you.

Honestly, then you aren't really giving yourself any options - or the portals you use/systems, etc. aren't.
Since you can't caonical or do 301s or any of the other indicators Google looks for to figure out duplicate content, you can't really tell Google you are the originator. Even if you can't do a regular hyperlink, can you do a non-hyperlink/URL in the posting?
-
These job sites don’t allow us to link back..
-
Perhaps Advertise the job opportunity on the "other" sites with a "enquire" or "find out more" button that links to the original job add on your website.
The button "view or apply to job" links back to the original advert.
As long as you are linking to the original source, you are safe.

2 months ago, I publish a NEW blog, http://www.mervrating.org The blog has only 3 posts. I don't have much time to work on it. Does it HURT my SEO? Can I start working on it on regular basis and try to built authority or does it looks "dead" to search engine? Syndicating content with rel=author tag in it
If I have an article with my rel=author tag attached to it, and then I syndicate that article to another web site, should I keep the rel=author tag in that synbdicated article? Basically, what I'm worried about is that there will be 2 duplicate articles with my author tag on 2 different web sites. (I intend to put a canonical tag in the syndicated article so there is no duplicate content penalty) What is the best practice for this?

Duplicate Text on Blog & Internal News Page
I have two places I post news for our company. Our blog - typically more informal posts

mycompany.wordpress.com & Our news page - typically more newsworthy than the blog
mycompany.com/news My question is, It is okay to just copy the exact text from my wordpress blog and paste to my news area of my site and vice versa? Does this hurt ranking potential for either page?0 -
What is the best practice for using the same content on two pages?
I have two websites in a very similar niche(s)...I have good unique content article that I would like to use on both sites because it adds value to the visitor experience.. Example: Science of Colors would be very useful for my seattle house painting paint colors page. I want to have content so they do not need to leave the site to navigate to second site. Would the identical content trigger a penalty or would it be crawled, ignored, and not indexed. Does having a rel=authorship on one site trump the site..Or is it a pile of BAD.

Surely shopping cart sites are going to have a lot of duplicate content? Does google recognise this? Is there anything I can do let google know?
