2 sites made - almost same day question
-
So i made 2 sites within 24 hours of each other:
babysitters-nyc.com
and
http://nanny-nyc.com/nanny has 530 pages index and babysitters only 10.
Any idea why that would happen and what the problem would be?
Thanks and happy holidays!

You're likely to have problems with the content of both of those sites. It looks like thin content that is nearly duplicate except for the search and replace of one location for the other. Google isn't going to want to return to the user dozens or hundreds of nearly identical pages. If you do a site: on the nanny site and go in a couple of pages, it says there are actually only about 100 pages indexed.
You're going to need to provide more value to the user if you want to get these affiliate sites actually ranking.
-
So I did a crawl test on you site via the SEOMoz tool... it pulled in 300+ pages. You can download the excel spreadsheet here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5yo553nkkmzm6fq/babysitters-nyc.com.csv
So definitely submit to GWMT to speed up the process... other than that just wait

Looks like it's only been about 3 weeks since you've registered the domains. You probably just need to wait a bit longer, and the other site will catch up. A couple of tips would be:
1. Explicitly create a robots.txt file. I just feel better doing this, even if I'm not add any special conditions / restrictions to it.
2. Register your sites with Google Webmaster Tools
3. Build more good quality links to your sites. 500 plus pages is a lot for Google to index for a brand new site without any authority. The more good links you have to your sites, the more pages Google will index.
-
You've most likely got a crawl problem. Check your robots.txt to make sure that you haven't disallowed spiders by accident (I've done it).
Next, have you submitted them to Google WMT? Submit those sitemaps and you'll get the whole thing crawled in less than a week I bet

URL Question
This url looks bad: http://www.patrickmunoz.com/#!classes/c1vw1 And when you click around the page change doesn't actually occur, it's a fade into the next page. I think this is a major problem for rankings. Although pages are crawled: https://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.patrickmunoz.com%2F&oq=site%3A&aqs=chrome.2.69i57j69i58j69i59l3j69i61.3548j0j7&sourceid=chrome&espv=210&es_sm=122&ie=UTF-8 When I search for a simple page - "patrick munoz FAQs" nothing comes up:

Duplicate content on partner site
I have a trade partner who will be using some of our content on their site. What's the best way to prevent any duplicate content issues? Their plan is to attribute the content to us using rel=author tagging. Would this be sufficient or should I request that they do something else too? Thanks

Logged In Only Content Made Available to Googlebot
Hi guys, On this page, http://www.jobiness.sg/changi-airport-group/work-reviews/id-18180200170/?page=2, I require my users to sign up to be able to view the content. I would like to make this available to search engine crawlers. Also, are there any general guidelines regarding making this type of optimization? Is this considered acceptable within Google's guidelines? From my research, there seems to be 3 ways to go about doing this: Creating an account for the bots such that they are considered 'logged in users' Adding checks to my html to see the http user agent Google click first free (havent dont much research into this yet)

URL structure for a new WordPress site
Hi I'm building a new next big thing website from scratch (for a translation agency) and I encountered an issue with the URL structure. I need to chose the URL for important targeted keyword pages and I have a conflict between two tools I'm using. Please read below the situation: domain: mashtranslation.com target keyword: french translation services which URL you think is better from a SEO point of view (and possibly for users): mashtranslation.com/services/french/ OR mashtranslation.com/french-translation-services/ I'm asking this because one WordPress plugin (Wordpress SEO by Yoast) says the URL structure is not optimised while another tool (Market Samurai) says the URL is optimised.

Site-wide keyword density
A colleague of mine was saying that he has been able to get top ranking for a high traffic term by using variations of that head term on multiple pages that are associated with the main page. For example,he would optimize a landing page for the high traffic word "Construction." He would then build pages under this landing page that are optimized for variations of this word: "Construction facts," "Industrial Construction Companies," "Construction Resource Allocator" etc. His theory is that the subpages add credibility with spiders that the root page is the best for that root page. This doesn't seem like it would work, but I'm curious as to what other people think.
