Article/ Blog Post submissions

Hello All,
I'm looking to perform a 'Standard' guest blog post link building tactic, but i'm a little unsure as where to start.
Does anybody have a list/ guide to websites that accept guest posts?
Preferably ones that are useful for SEO purposes, I have been link building for about 3 months now, but to be honest, most of these links are NoFollow, which isn't too great!

www.myblogguest.com I've found is decent for getting good backlinks from guest blogs. However, the guest blog post has got to be to a decent standard to get accepted. It goes into a list of posts for selected. There's another one called blogger link up which is a kind of dating service for guest blog posts and publishers

Hi,
http://myblogguest.com/ is a good site for you to find blogs that are willing to accept guest blogs. You have to sign up for an account and it is a community where people request for blogs to post on or request for posts for their blog. It is 100% free and join the comunity to find a blog that you think fits your niche and message the blog owners to see if they want to post your article.
hope this helps!

Great answer above me, so I'd only add another resource to finding guest post opportunities.
Stoked SEO's link building query generator utilises all the different google search terms you can use to also find posting opportunities.
Don't forget to look at related blogs on sites like Technorati as well, and approach them through their contact forms.

_Again I would like to say that your approach toward guest blogging is not correct. Guest blogging is not a hit and run thing. Do not be in such rush to get articles published in sites that accept guest posts. And who said that no-followed links do not add any value? You should not believe Google all the time
Take it this way. You need to treat it as a way to promote your brand. So hire the best writer and prepare a killer content or you can hire a professional graphic designer and create a killer infographic whatever it suits your purpose._
And I do not wish to play wise here. So, here is the ultimate resource:

Search engine submission - Urgent
Is it necessary to submit a new site to search engines? I have a brand-new site I purchased a few days ago which I didn't think to check until after I purchased it, But it has not been indexed by Google!

The domain was registered three months ago, and probably the website wouldn't have been designed until after that.
But I'm still left puzzling why the site is not indexed by Google. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.0 -
New blog post URLs due to WordPress permalink structure changes. Any SEO repercussions?
A client site had the follwing URLs for all blog posts: www.example.com/health-news/sample-post www.example.com/health-news is the top level page for the blog section. While making some theme changes during Google mobilegeddon, the permalink structure got changed to www.example.com/sample-post ("health-news" got dropped from all blog post URLs). Google has indexed the updated post structure and older URLs are getting redirected (if entered directly in the browser) to the new ones; it appears that WordPress takes care of that automatically as no 301 redirects were entered manually. It seems that there hasn't been any loss of rankings (however not 100% sure as the site ranks for well over 100 terms). Do you suggest changing the structure back to the old one? Two reasons that I see are preserving any link juice from domains linking to old URLs and ensuring no future/current loss of rankings.

Subdomain blog vs. subfolder blog in 2013
So I've read the posts here: http://moz.com/community/q/subdomain-blog-vs-subfolder-blog-in-2013 and many others, Matt Cutts video, etc. Does anyone have direct experience that its still best practice to use the sub folder? (hopefully a moz employee can chime in?) I have a client looking to use hubspot. They are preaching with the Matt Cutts video. I'm in charge of SEO / marketing and am at odds with them now. I'd like to present the client with more info than "in my experience in the past I've seen subdirectories work." Any help? Articles? etc?

Are paid article sites value for money
As a SEO beginner I am still unsure of the best way to build links. I have a article which I'd like to distribute, I've used sites like ezinearticles.com however I feel this is too general so I've targeted some sites which are associated to the industry. Many of the sites I've discovered charge a hefty fee. Before I take the plunge and spend money (I'm a Yorkshireman) I'd like the thoughts and opinions of SEO experts. Is this common practice or are there better, more cost effective ways? Thanks in advance,

Few questions regarding wordpress and indexing/no follow.
I'm using Yoast's Wordpress SEO plugin on my wordpress site which allows you to quickly set up nofollow / no index on specific taxonomies. I wanted to see what you guys thought was the best practice in setting up my various taxonomies. Would you noidex, but follow all of these, none of these, or just some of these: Categories, tags, media, author archives ( (My blog is mainly a single author blog (me) but my wife does sometimes write posts. So I didn't know how this effected everything. Also I could simply make the blog a single user blog and just have her posts be guest posts, but I'd rather leave her as a user.), and date archives. The example I read on line only no-index's the date archives. Just curious what you guys thought. Thanks.
