Rich Snippets With Picture
-
I recently added rich snippets to my website to link my Google+ with my website so that whenever someone looks at my website on Google search it will show my picture.
It has yet to show up on the search results and I understand this could take a couple weeks.
My question is:
will the authorship/picture of me show up on the Google search results no matter if it is the root domain or a blog/article post, or will it only show up on an article post that someone sees in the Google search results.
I viewed my root domain in the google rich snippets testing tool and it shows my authorship picture but it is not showing up in the SERPS

Hey Steve,
That was a great answer, and it was what I was looking for, I appreciate it very much.

Hi Matthew,
As you've seen from the rich snippets testing tool, the author pic is showing up for your homepage - it's not just content-oriented blog pages.
It does take time though. Seeing the author pic show up in the testing tool, and having it not show up live is the norm. It can definitely take some time, so be patient. Personally, I believe it took me about 3-4 days from the time everything was properly implemented to the time I started seeing the author pic in search results.
There's been a lot of speculation about why some people implement the markup and see the author pic show up in SERPs in a day, whereas for others it takes a couple weeks. There was a lot of speculation that it had to do with your Google+ activity and the number of people who had circled you, but I've seen enough examples of people with zero G+ activity, and next to no circle activity that have their author pic showing up in SERPs.
A great resource (where all the really smart Authorship people hangout) is Google Authorship & Author Rank G+ community. AJ Kohn (Blind Five Year Old) Bill Slawski & Mark Traphagen are some of the go-to experts on the topic who are very active in that community.

Rich Snippets For Q&A Forums?
As Google seems to have new interest in Rel Author for articles, is there anything comparable for q&a comments, where you have many commenters? IMHO, Google is trying to get at the quality of the authors advice via authority of some kind, especially for YMYL content. Best... Mike

Will Google display rich snippet photos for People?
I know that photos have been discontinued for Authorship. Someone told me that they had been discontinued for People (which has always been separate from Authorship, as I understand it) as well, but they're still listed here[1] . However, I can't find an example of them working. Can someone enlighten me? Thanks!

Google crawled my rich snippet pages and then excluded them
Hi guysWe have added schema.org mark up a few months ago and it all looked well and showed up then suddenly last month all the crawled pages disappeared from Webmaster tools Structured data (see the screenshot attached). This happened to another site of mine and I cannot figure out what causes it. Nothing has been changed on the pages and you can see by yourself in the HTML code. Any ideas to why this might happened this way?wenR89I.png?1

How would the rich snippets be treated in AJAX website?
Hi guys We have started to rewrite our website http://www.edamam.com on AJAX, and the idea is to have all the website on AJAX in the next few months. Although it would probably be difficult to index even with the Google Crawling protocol, and some other issues might appear, the engineers insist that from technology point of view this is the best way to go. We have already rewritten the internal search result pages, e.g. http://www.edamam.com/recipes/pasta and last week we set the Google Crawling protocol for AJAX to some of the individual recipe pages to test it. I'd like to ask for you opinion on whether the rich snippets we have in the search results will be affected by this change? Are there specific actions we need to take to preserve them? What other hot tips you have for dealing with AJAX on any level of the website? Thanks in advance Lily

Adding video snippet caused drop of star rating snippet in google SERP. Any solution to show both?
We are using on our product pages review schema markup which showed up well in google SERP. Now we added schema video markup as well and google shows in SERP now only the video snippet, but not the review snippet anymore. Any idea whether there may be a solution to show both video and review snippets?

Ok to use rich snippets for same product on multiple pages?
I am developing a new set of pages for a series of products which exist on separate sub domains linked to the root domain. The product pages on the sub domains have rich snippets; review count, review score etc. The new pages im building out are for the same products though on the root domain and with different content. Im not comfortable marking those pages up with rich snippets too given they will have the same review counts, scores etc though would like to if its viable? Any thoughts/opinions? Thanks, Andy
