Cross Domain Tracking
-
I want to track across domains, but also track as a virtual pageview anytime someone clicks on the link to another domain. So currently I have, for example:
As per Google's instructions, I need to have the link set to:
But this will obviously get rid of my virtual pageview. Is there a way I can do both?

Thanks Benjamin, very helpful. I'm not wedded to the virtual pageviews, just wondering as all our site goals are currently attached to them. I suspected that I could get rid of them once the cross-domain tracking is operating properly, so thanks for confirming that as well!

Are you sure you definitely want to keep the virtual pageview in there? I ask because normally you'd have that in place to track clicks on an outbound link, so that you can see how many people clicked it. But if you're hooking up cross domain tracking to another domain that you control, you can see how many people clicked the link just by checking pageviews of the URL that the link points to.
If you do need to keep it though, your link would look like this:

Google Analytics Stopped Tracking Visits - NEED HELP!
Hi Moz Community, I have about 10 sites, static HTML sites and WordPress sites, which ALL stopped tracking Google Analytics on August 2nd. They go to a flat-line! Dead! No data! Has anyone else experienced this either currently or before? I have confirmed all code is correct as it's been tracking these sites for years. One site gets 5,000+ visits a month and they are sitting at only 1,500 now and will be a fun conversation to have with the client. If all code is correct, what should I do? How do I overcome this without having to re-create another account/tracking ID? Never dealt with something like this before and there is not much on the web or in other forums. Would appreciate any help or advice or tips! - Patrick

Goal Tracking In Analytics On Separate Ordering Website
I have a question for any Google Analytics wizards out there. We have two clients that have a similar complication when it comes to tracking goal conversions in Analytics. Basically, all the conversion actions we want to track occur on a separate website; either an iframe embedded on the page or through an entirely different ordering website. Trick is, Analytics sees the source for all these conversions as referrals from the main site. We'd like to get visibility back to the original source/medium that brought visitors to the site before they converted. Anyone have a suggestion for making that happen?

Weird Math in GA Ecommerce Tracking
Hi everybody. I've recently discovered that I have a problem with the ecommerce tracking on a client's website. The client sells concert tickets at an average price of $10 per ticket. The custom ecommerce platform they use is kind of unusual; the same product often has different SKUs, but not always. This isn't associated with different seats, etc. In fact, I don't yet know why they've set it up that way. The problem that I'm facing is this: the data in Analytics is calculating the "average price" of a SKU item as the total price. If, for example, the actual average price for a SKU item is $10 and four of those SKU items were sold, Analytics will tell me the average price is $40. This means that the total revenue for that SKU shows up as $40 x 4 = $160. Needless to say, this is enormously skewing the data. Here's a screenshot. Note, it's the same product: http://screencast.com/t/JyLQkb3jzz6s The total revenue for ticket sales is way off because of this, and I'm not sure if it's a problem with the ecommerce tracking code in Analytics, or something that the ecomm platform is doing. Have any of you experienced anything like this, and if so is it a fix in Analytics? Thank you!

Looking for a Drupal module to track conversions...
I don't use drupal very often, so I'm looking for some help. We manage two sites in drupal, and the way they are set up, it creates a new thank you page every time someone fills out a contact form. The thank you page displays the information that was entered, so I assume it is necessary to create a page to do this (this was set up before I came on board). What I'm trying to do is track conversions in analytics by thank you page, but because a different node is created for every page, it makes things really difficult. My guess is that there's some kind of module or shortcut that could make this easier. Do any of you know of something, or preferably, is there something you're using that you'd endorse? Thanks for your help. -Adam
