HTTPS on OSE
-
Just wondering if any of the Moz team can give us a heads up when open site explorer will support HTTPS?

Thanks Chiaryn

Hi Martin,
Thanks for writing in with a great question. It looks like our developers are expecting to have that functionality released for OSE around March of this year, but I don't have a specific date yet. I would recommend subscribing to this forum: https://seomoz.zendesk.com/entries/20770156-open-site-explorer-to-crawl-https. That is where we will update when we have more news or when the feature is released.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Internal Links Data on OSE and poor ranking despite excellent metrics
Hi folks, I use OSE a lot for comparing where we stand against our competitors and I'm always surprised to see most of our competitors have loads more internal links than we do. For example, comparing 'www.kensyard.co.uk' with 'www.sterlingbuild.co.uk', we are better on every Root Domain Metric except for the Total Links metric and this is down to a much smaller number of internal links. They are ranking better than us in Google so I'm wondering if there is something wrong with the way our site is coded / structured that means Google and OSE are not picking up our internal link network properly? We have over nine times as many external root domains linking to our site than theirs, which is surely a far more valuable metric than internal links right? Or is there an issue with our internal link structure that is confusing Google and causing us to rank lower? Many thanks for any advice, Luke

Hi everyone, I request an advanced linking domains report in Open site explorer, but my csv file have only three columns as a normal linking domains report : Root Domain, Domain Authority, Number of Linking Root Domains. I have missed some important data as: anchor text, origin, target url Etc I try to request the same report two time, but I have the same problem. Bulk OSE Open Site Explorer Tool?
I am trying to do some spring cleaning for a client and hoping to prune any unnecessary domains. Is there a tool that will check, in bulk, these domains through Open Site Explorer? I've looked through all the different Excel spread sheet apps and google doc apps but they are incredibly buggy if they work at all since SEOmoz changed their data limits. Maybe a new tool has been updated in the last few months that I am not aware of. Thanks!

Why do some sites have a higher Page Authority than Domain Authority in OSE??
Hi, I have noticed when using OSE and enter a domain you very often see a higher Page Authority than Domain Authority. If someone could explain why this would happen then I would be very grateful - its my current understanding that page authority would ALWAYS be LESS THAN Domain Authority but that is not always the case (I have seen cases where PA is more than 10 higher then DA) Here's an example where PA > DA http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/links.html?site=www.primelocation.com Thanks

Anyone seeing ose csv exports hanging?
None of my reports are completing - even if left to run overnight - anyone else seeing this? There was mention of this in http://www.seomoz.org/q/problems-with-ose-downloads but I get the sense from that thread that the problem was solved back in August.
