Schema.org Review for Person
-
I'm trying to make some sense of Google's rich snippets and microdata/Schema.org.
Wondering if it's allowed to have reviews or an aggregateReview for a Person, rather than a Thing, Product or Place. Of course, a Person is a Thing, but when I try to validate my markup with Google's Structured Data Testing Tool, it tells me:
Warning: Page contains property "aggregaterating" which is not part of the schema.
Anyone have any ideas here?

I understand completely where you're coming from. It sounds like Google's gone a little wacky. I think you can review the person's blog that would effectively allow you to review what you think of that person's work.
The person section in there is for you.
You need to put your companies or personal information in their for Google local/places and other sites to find you. you might want to consider adding and Hcard
you can of course review the blog as a place. Or the URL what are they selling or the product information. That's how I would take it and that's how I would structure it.
Their examples are a bit out there and I thought the same thing as you however you should use it and use it to the best of what you believe is correct. If you want to review product well I consider writing a blog work and the product is the intellectual property and yes you can use stars but you need another plug-in. I really like the snippet plug-in as well for Schema it allows you more freedom. I would honestly ask Raven tools themselves they probably will give you the best answer possible.
I hope I have been of help
Thomas
I believe a person/business can have reviews but I think only the business is if it's tied to the person.

I've been using the Raven tool. The question is more about if Reviews are a valid thing for a Person -- they are always exampled as being for a product or a place.
As far as I can tell, the Highlight tool is only for events, not Review or other types of structured data yet.
It's not so much about generating the markup, I have done that. But after doing so, Google's Structured Data Testing tool is telling me that AggregateReview is not a valid property for a Person.
Can a Person have reviews?

try using
http://www.microdatagenerator.com/
and if you're using Word press use Raven tools Schema you can also used a WordPress snippets plug-in. That you can reverse and fix anything you may not find you wanted to do.
I would also highly recommend using Google's highlight tool found in their Google Webmaster tools it is excellent

SERP Review Features show on a non-product page?
When reviewing my campaign's SERP Features, I notice that one of my competitors is gaining a lot of Review Features that I'm missing. I'm ranking high for the keywords that are showing the review features, but not on my product page. I'm ranking for those keywords on blogs and other pages. Is there a way to show for those review features as I currently have it, or should I be trying to rank for those keywords on my product page? I appreciate any insight into this situation.

Removing Personal content from Google Index
Hi everyone, A user is complaining that her name is appearing in google search through our job ads site, so I removed such ads through Search Console, but the problem is not the ads anymore but our internal search results. The ads are no longer live but our searches has been indexed by google back then, We have been manually taking over 500 pages that included such name but more and more keep coming through pagination, we haven't found a pattern yet so pretty much any search result might have contained such name. We might get some legal issues here, did you guys got into anything similar before? We have just set some rules so that this doesn't happen again, but still can't find a way to deal with this one. Thanks in advance. PD: Not sure if this is the right category to fit it.

Added Schema and Rankings Went Down
Hello - We launched a schema plugin for our WordPress site to make our blog seen as articles and main page as an organization. The day after, we saw a dramatic decrease in Keyword rankings but our website health improved with Google. Any thoughts on what could be causing this?

UGC - Product Reviews Search Engine accesibility
Hi everyone A question about using product reviews on a website - I completely understand genuine product reviews can be great for creating totally unique content and for seo in general. But my understanding is also that it is great only when it's accessible by google. So the question I have is that by using aggregate review services - i.e. reviews(dot)co(dot)uk widgets, are they always easily accessible by Google? Examples I've seen that use the widget are: https://www.oliverbonas.com/jewellery/silver-honeycomb-bee-necklace-29494 http://www.fires-cookers.co.uk/hoover-dyc169a-tumble-dryer-white.html#prod-reviews So when you view the page source for these pages, the actual content of the reviews are nowhere to be seen. I was wondering if anyone has experience of using any of these thrid party widgets, and if these come as issues, what you would do to make sure these reviews content are seen by Google? Thank you

Schema markup
Hi, I'd love to use schema markup, but I don't think there is one for the type of products we sell (mortgages). Does anyone know of a way of using schema markup for a page like this: https://www.turnkeymortgages.co.uk/mortgage/mortgage-rates/ The regulator for mortgages (FCA) in the UK has rules about how products are displayed, we have to show all the information in the table (see the link), and the compliance text (your home will be repossessed....) with every product. This is why I haven't tried to 'cobble' something together from the existing markup available - I can't fall foul of the regulator (or be misleading to customers). Anyone have any thoughts on this? Or, should I just wait until Schema come up with a markup suitable for such products.

Schema Address Question
I have a local business with a contact page that I want to add schema markup to. However, I was wondering if having the address with schema info on the contact page instead of the home page has any adverse effects on the rich snippet showing up in search. There's no logical place to add schema for a local business on the home page, so having it on the contact page—not in the footer or sidebar—is the only option.

Why isn't Google pushing my Schema data to the search results page
I believe we have it set up right. I'm noticing all my competitors schema data is showing up which is really giving them a leg up on us. We have a high ranking website so I'm just not sure why it's now showing up. Here is an example URL http://www.airgundepot.com/3576w.html I've used the Google webmaster tools tester and it all looks fine. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
