Will Ecademy closure affect websites google ranking

Hi, i think i must be the only one that did not know about Ecademy sale, well almost. In the past week I have had a number of people contact me who are angry that they did not receive an email about ecademy business network being sold off.

These people are more than angry about their monthly payments leaving their bank acounts and not having access to the new site which is here www.sunzu.com/

Although a lot of people are angry of the handling of this, an important question i would like to ask is, with ecademy no longer being around, does this mean that all the hard work of people writing articles on ecademy and gaining link juice, will all this link juice vanish

have you managed to get into sunzu as i have not. we did have an account and they took money last month but we could not get into it, we were blackstar members so now we have stopped payment and told them so.

it looks like no one can join at the moment.

to me it seems very strange why anyone would buy ecademy and then close it down, what is the point

Articles look like they've been migrated and redirected to SunZu (although I only checked a couple).  E.g.:

www.ecademy.com/node.php?id=141908 now redirects to http://www.sunzu.com/articles/article-on-articles-how-to-write-a-compelling-article-and-get-it-published-141908/

But other pages not - e.g. company and user pages just redirect to home page.  Although if I do a search on a user in site:sunzu.com then it comes up with the page.

The SunZu site has nofollows on article links, but does follow from sidebar and user / business pages.

As for Ecademy... well, I'll keep my thoughts to myself on that.  Be interesting to see what SunZu does, but I haven't personally used Ecademy for years.

Hopefully it is transferred over but not show how that will be possible. Not had a chance to look inside the new site yet as the passwords are not working

Were the articles transferred over to the new domain? If so, then they'll still be passing link juice. Otherwise it's a lesson in not investing too much in other people's platforms.
