PDF linkbuilding - heavy or light on graphics since they might print it
-
Hello,
We're writing a PDF on how to choose a product for our niche. We want people to link to the PDF, share it with people, and possibly print it.
How heavily should I use graphics and images in this PDF? The corresponding article is full of graphics, charts, and images.
Thanks.

I think I've got this. Thanks Irving for your good help.

I'm using InDesign and my 72 DPI images are grainy when I export to PDF and the PDF is read at greater than 100% zoom. Other PDFs I've seen are fine. Any ideas on what I can do?

The more attractive the better IMO if you want it to get shared, just use optimized images that aren't bloated. If you think people will be inclined to print it, then light color images, not heavy black that just eats up your ink cartridge.

ANSWER SEEN 'WITHIN THE QUESTION' BRACKET So you ask, why is the sky blue?
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | RedFrog
Well, the answer is not so simple; In the day-time, when it's clear and cloudless,
the sky is blue because molecules in the air scatter blue light from the sun more than they scatter red light.
When we look towards the sun at sunset, we see red and orange colours because the blue light has been scattered out and away from the line of sight. My Search Rankings Are In FreeFall Since Last One Month. Should I Be Worried?
My site www.midigital.co until the 10th of December, 2015 was ranking more or less in the top 10 for 92 Keywords most of them 1 word and 2 word, built upon over 10 years of SEO and optimization (all ethical). Since that time however it's like Google's decided that we didn't belong there and all the rankings are in free fall. The only change was that we updated our Wordpress Version. Nothing else was changed. Links were same as always. My organic traffic figures have fallen 99%, many KWs have been buried beyond 51+ and because of that client's queries we got have virtually disappeared. PPC helps but it's not Organic. Should I be Worried or is it just more Google Dance?

Webmaster Tools - Structured Data 100% drop. Many people with same issue, nobody seems to understand what might have caused it.
WMT shows a significant drop in structured data markup on June 7th, steep incline by June 21st. Now the same thing happened on August 9th, with no signs of recovery. Lost 45% of our search traffic. There are many people with the same problem, and nobody seems to know what caused it. Here are a few links to some forums: #1 Google Groups, #2 Google Groups, #3 Google Groups, #4 70% drop on GWT on June 7 Google SEO News and Discussion forum at WebmasterWorld. On our end we see a 100% drop in breadcrumbs and a 100% drop in hcards leading to a 45% search traffic drop. Any ideas why might have happened and how to fix this?

What else rather than posts for linkbuilding?
Hello, My question is: we all know that blogs or great content is the way to good backlinks. But rather than this, what other ways are to build quality links to a website? I for example try researching competition backlinks (with opensiteexplorer), or find directories etc. Is this the right way? I also try to produce great content, but I would have liked more technical SEO tricks for this 🙂 And one more thing: how long links are needed before they impact rankings? Thanks if someone can help! Since when did Google get case sensitive?
We are currently ranked #2 locally (NJ) for "IT support", and #27 for "it support". This is a fairly recent development - like today. I know "it" is a stop word, but I have never seen this before. The funny thing is that this is the only "IT" search where this happens. Most of my keywords contain "IT". What's up with this?

Heavy Internal Linking Help
One of the sites I work on is a home improvement ecommerce website that does fairly well for its niche. One of the biggest problems that we're not sure how to adequately handle is a heavy internal linking issue. The homepage (http://www.fauxpanels.com/) has approx. 226 internal links which is mainly due to the navigation structure. There are far worse pages though (the Samples page http://www.fauxpanels.com/samples.php has over 800 internal links). For the most part, management doesn't want any massive changes to the navigation layout. The Top navigation bar has a number of dropdown menus when you hover, the Left Navigation Bar expands to show more choices, and the Bottom navigation bar in many instances is just repeats of links that can be found elsewhere. Also, the product links in the body of the page can be found linked in the Left Navigation. This is not what I would personally consider the best way to handle navigation but the Customer Service Department has gotten numerous calls and emails over the years about how much people love our navigation and how easy it is to find things. My thought was trying to lessen the amount of links by having things grouped more often into Category pages/hub pages where applicable so we can remove some of the links. We've also considered NoFollowing links but my understanding is that even if you NoFollow the link equity is still divided by the number of on-page links. So, any of you much more experienced SEOs have any idea how I can lessen the heavy internal linking without completely re-doing the site's navigation layout and not harming link equity, ranking, etc.? Or, conversely, would you consider having an average 200-300 internal links per page not to be a real issue given the positive effect it has apparently had on user experience?
