Hi RAIN Group,
It sounds like you are referring to the data on the Keyword Difficulty tool. That tool is actually not connected to Google Analystics, but the search volume used to be provided through the Google AdWords API. Unfortunately, Google has removed our access to their AdWords API so we are no longer able to provide that data. The good news is, we don't actually use the Google AdWords data in our calculation of keyword difficulty; it's just supplemental data, so those reports are still 100% accurate - they're just missing the information we used to pull from the API, which you can get at https://adwords.google.com/o/KeywordTool in the meantime.
We are working on finding another source to partner with to provide search volume in the future, but I'm afraid we don't have an ETA for when that data will be available again directly through the tool.

It can take a while to show up in Analytics if you just connected the accounts.

Rank checking tool for keyword analysis
We are looking for an ideally free suitable rank checking tool to perform a keyword analysis. Previously we used Firefox Rank Checker but currently this is not working effectively as it once did. We use Authority Labs as a paid tool to track rankings but this is a rank tracking platform and not so effective for a once-off rank check to perform a keyword analysis. Best Practices For Keyword Optimization
Hey currently building a new page on a clients site in the weight loss niche. The keywords he wants to rank for are the following: <colgroup><col width="198"> <col width="64"></colgroup>

My question is, in terms of optimizing the page (the title and url) for these keywords would you focus on the highest volume keyword. In this case the highest volume keyword is "fat burning foods" however is the most competitive and dominated by high domain authority sites (50+ vs. clients site which is around 30). Thus its highly unlikely he will rank for that keyword for quite a while. But for the keyword term "best fat burning foods" the competition is alot less in terms of DA and other factors but volume is smaller with 1900 hits a month. So would you optimize the page (the title and url) for "best fat burning food" or would you optimize thinking about the long-term and eventually ranking the keyword "fat burning foods". My thinking would be to optimize the page for "fat burning foods". And that the benefits of optimizing (url and title) for "best fat burning foods" isn't ideal for the long-run. Which keywords to manage?
I'm trying to determine how much certain keywords are searched, is there a tool for that? Ie. I'm a mortgage broker in a small area But I want to see if people search for things like No downpayment, etc I also want this to be location specific, how do I do this? Joel

Strong Keywords with Zero Returns in Google's Traffic Estimator
Hi: I have a dilemma and have not been able to find a good answer anywhere - and I have looked. 🙂 Gather up a bunch of keywords from Google's Keyword Tool that have tens of thousands of queries per month for local and global. When I plug the same keywords into Google's Traffic Estimator, even with a high bid (over $2) and a high daily budget ($50-100), I get all zeros returned from Traffic Estimator for columns Estimated Average CPC; Estimator Ad Position; Estimated Daily Budget, etc. Can someone please explain why this is the case? Is it because the keywords themselves, despite in some cases having hundreds of thousands of monthly searches, are low competition and therefore have no real value in Adwords? Google Analytics - Long keywords
Hi All, Question for you Google Analytics pros. In the keywords section of my account I see the various words that have been used to find my site. The top entry shows a big long line of text from my site and I wondered why this appears on the keywords. e.g Lets say I had "Today I went to the shops and bought a football" In the keywords I would normally expect to see 'football', 'shops' etc but instead I am actually seeing things like " went to the shops and bought a football". What causing this? Thanks all
