Different website is shown when searched for content
-
Hello,
Have any body experienced this situation, When i take a content from http://www.creativethemes.net e.g. from home page and search it on google, search results shows FMEextensions with that content. FME had never ever used that data, it can not be found in sources files either, also this data was never written and placed on FME site but it is shown with FME
How can this happen and what do you suggest to resolve it?
-
Have a look at the top of the cached page for all the info you need. However, it won't tell you when they added content.
-
Yes i can see that, but wondering when was it placed on that page so that Google cached it.
-
OK, do exactly this:
Search for "Find Free Themes for Magento and other platforms"
On the FME page, roll over to see the cached version of the page and then click on "Cached". You then want to click on "Text Only Version" and scroll to the bottom. You will see the following:

It has never been used on FME,
-
If you click on the cached version of the page and then click on "Text Only Version", scroll to the bottom and you will see where it has been used.
it was there, but looks like it has been changed and I suspect Google will catch up with this at some point.

Hello Andy,
I meant the text on home page, just like below, search it on Google please and you will find FME.
"Find Free Themes for Magento and other platforms which are mostly reviewed and rated by customers and can increase clients' conversion rates for you beyond your expectations. All eCommerce templates come with free support, upgrades and complete documentation. Enjoy Christmas discounted website themes right now!"

I am a little confused what you are actually searching for. You said that "When i take a content from http://www.creativethemes.net", can you give me an example of what you are taking from the homepage?
If I search for Magento Templates or Magento Themes, I don't see this "FME" site come up.
-
Hello Andy, i mentioned above,
URL http://www.creativethemes.net
Keywords are Magento Themes, Magento Templates
-
Can you give us the URLs and search terms please? Need to have a look to fully understand what is going on.
Andy

How do I redirect my old PHP website to my new Java website?
Please could you help? My old website is written in php. I've created a new design of the website in Java. I'll be using the same domain name though. example.com and I'd like to pass my link juice to my new redesigned website. When I turn the domain name to point to my new website how do I make sure pages that are ranked in google that don't exist on my new website transfer 301 from my old website to a similar page on my new website. Old Website Example example.com/bootcampuk.php New Website Example example.com/bootcamps.jsp Many Thanks, Rob

Medical / Health Content Authority - Content Mix Question
Greetings, I have an interesting challenge for you. Well, I suppose "interesting" is an understatement, but here goes. Our company is a women's health site. However, over the years our content mix has grown to nearly 50/50 between unique health / medical content and general lifestyle/DIY/well being content (non-health). Basically, there is a "great divide" between health and non-health content. As you can imagine, this has put a serious damper on gaining ground with our medical / health organic traffic. It's my understanding that Google does not see us as an authority site with regard to medical / health content since we "have two faces" in the eyes of Google. My recommendation is to create a new domain and separate the content entirely so that one domain is focused exclusively on health / medical while the other focuses on general lifestyle/DIY/well being. Because health / medical pages undergo an additional level of scrutiny per Google - YMYL pages - it seems to me the only way to make serious ground in this hyper-competitive vertical is to be laser targeted with our health/medical content. I see no other way. Am I thinking clearly here, or have I totally gone insane? Thanks in advance for any reply. Kind regards, Eric

Re-using content
Hi, I've just sold the domain for a website, so I'm free to re-purpose the content over to another website I own. How can I make sure that Gg doesn't deem it as duplicate? Do I need to let Gg naturally realise that the 'original' website no longer has the content on it? Do I need to hold-off putting the content live again? Should I notify Gg by-way of a de-index request, etc (assuming the domain won't incur any difficulty if I do this)? Thanks in advance.

Furniture company with 1 website or a few different ones?
Hello everyone. We are a furniture company, selling sofas, mattress, outdoor furniture, many BBQ's in the future - Separate things, but all related in a way. I was thinking it would make us look like an 'authority' to have a separate website for everything and be more specialised and also look more specialised. What would be better for SEO?? Also (sneeking in a second question!), I have around 50 sofa designs - is it ok if the Meta description is the same for each one or should I change a word or 2 around? Many thanks!!

How Come Meta is different based on different query?
We have a site we added a number to in the meta description. Once we did that we did a fetch as google to hopefully recrawl the page quicker. A few days later and we cleared W3 cache on WP and clear computer cache, then did search on common search for the site/page. WidgetA for example. The url is OurClient.com/widgetA/ - on organic in meta on SERP and we see our new meta with number. We then do a search on a similar term WidgetingA for example and the same url shows: OurClient.com/widgetA/ BUT THE meta description is different on SERP! It is the old meta. When we look at the element using mozbar, it shows the new meta as it should same as when we look at it under the original search term. So, search for WidgetA, get new meta in serps and search for WidgetingA (which returns same url as WidgetA) and we get the old meta. Thoughts???

Content Landing Page
Hey Mozzers, I wanted to get some opinions on here. I'm going to be building out the content on my site a lot of the next couple of months, and have recently started thinking about creating a content landing page. For those not familiar with the concept it's the idea of building this page that basically just pulls together all the content you've written on a specific subject & serves as hopefully a link magnet & destination for people interested in the topic. So my question is this, I am just outlining all of the different posts & areas that I want to cover on specific topics & it is a lot. I'm talking ~20 posts on each subject. Do you think that would be too much content to try & get on one page? Should I break it down to a more finite 5-7 links to high quality articles per page, or create basically this monster guide that links to all these different articles I'll create. Looking forward to getting your opinion, Chris
