Hi Claire,
You have a lot going on, on your page. I like to call pages like this a "cognitive load". What is it you want a user to pay attention to on the page? Part of your challenge is all the ads, obviously the producer of each ads, want to make sure their content pulls attention, and since you don't have any control over the ad creative, you need to make sure that you really curate your own elements that might be competing for attention.
For example. You have a lot of social sharing going on. You have a floating bar on the right, you have a set of icons in your header, you have a set of icons to the right of article, and a set at the bottom just above the related news.
What do you most want people to do on your page (it's call to action)? Do you want me to share the article on one of my social networks (which one)? Do you want me to leave a comment? Click to another article? Click on an ad?
If a user only spends 5 seconds on your page, what do you want them to get that causes them to decide to stay longer? Now go run to five second tests (http://fivesecondtest.com/) and see if what you hope, is what your users are getting.

SEO Questions & Help
I have a woo commerce shop in the firearms industry which makes advertising even more difficult because no FB, IG, or Google campaigns. I do have other sources of advertising but I'm a complete noob when it comes to SEO and the like. I know it exists and its important and that's the extent of it. I was thinking of hiring someone on Upwork to take care of this on my website but what kinds of questions/things I should look out for to keep from getting scammed? Any tips would be appreciated

Web page or blog ? Which one is preferable
Hello, For one of our sites, 19 keywords are ranking on Home page. But, the home page doesn't have content with those keywords. I am afraid that with Google updates, we will eventually lose all the ranking position for these keywords. Should we ask the client to create blog around those keywords or create separate pages ? Thanks

How do I split page content?
So I offer two services for which each has an FAQ page (let's call them S1 and S2). The problem is that I also have a longer FAQ page that covers both services (S1-2). I would like to eliminate the longer one and attach the relevant content to each of the shorter pages but i'm concerned that deleting pages with a lot of content might be a bad idea. I could redirect I suppose but I wouldn't know which page S1 or S2 to point redirect to. Any advice on this?

Updating blogs - SEO best practice
Thinking of new blog content and one option obviously is to check out historical popular blogposts via Analytics and do fresh versions of those. So my question is what is best practice: 1. Copy and paste the old blogpost copy but edit it to be slightly different while still having the old blogpost live or 2. just update the old one and re-promote I assume it's better to have a new version of the blogpost?

Is this a worthwhile SEO tactic?
Many 'list' articles break down so that number one is on page one, and you are asked to click 'Next' to see number two. Number two is on page two, etc. For example: http://www.prevention.com/health/health-concerns/12-replacements-high-cholesterol-foods Is this done simply to keep bounce rate down? Is it something I should try, or is it frowned upon in any way? Will it help bounce rate? If it's a good practice, how would I do this in a Wordpress blog post? Thanks!

Page Content?
So I have review pages for websites on my site, each website has a review around 400-500 words. Recently I had my writers write 2 additional articles on each site but about something they have there. My thinking was interlinking them allowing them to rank individually etc. However now after looking around etc.. I see that content that is upwards of 1000 words or more might be more powerful and the way this is all written etc.. I could easily put it all on one page.... So my question is do I go with 3 pages or 1 page. I can see strength in both
