My DA Drop

Two updates ago I had a "big" drop in DA from 36 to 32 because of a drop in Followed Linking Root Domains. Me and my competitors have taken DA hits recently, but I'm the only one to have dropped faster than the others. (see capture below for full story.) Of course this happens right after I start focusing my efforts on SEO.
I'd be awfully grateful if y'all had any insights for me on this one. I was hoping after the initial drop off that I would see the rank climb after my link building efforts over the last couple of months; no such luck. Now I'm feeling like I've shot myself in the foot somehow.
Also attached is an ahrefs report showing backlinks and referring domains over time.
So did I shoot my foot off or am I seeing something else at work?

Scott, that's a really good question. No SEO efforts were started before this January. And I haven't done much (2 or 3) directory submissions. Any other directory submissions would have happened years ago,and only if we found a competitor there. Since none of the comparison sites were hit I don't think it was that. We launched a new site design and url structure back in July, but my old site's content still exists and is accessible through old links. My assumption is that those were natural links.

Going from around 45 to 75 linking domains doesn't seem unnatural at first glance. I'm wondering though, what the quality of those links are like? Was it deserved links from real people sharing your content or mostly traditional link directories and social bookmarking, etc?

DA is not increasing
Hi, Everyone. My question is about the Moz DA. I am completing all the requirements by google to increase the ranking of a website. I am uploading content on my website more frequently but my site DA which is related to best crossbow is not increasing. Please if any one know something guide me about this problem. 13 New Quality Back Links But Little Improvement in DA and PA-WHY?
Since September 13 sites have linked to our real estate website. MOZ domain authority of these sites ranks from 45-83. MOZ page authority ranges from 25-36. Six of these links were created in the last 3 weeks. The remainder have been live since Late September/October. Our domain authority has only increased from 18 to 19 since September. Our site has only 805 linking domains. Why has the increase in domain authority been so little? I have read that domain authority it algorithmic and that improving up to 25 is not too difficult. A few notes about the incoming links: -11 of the 13 do not rank for any keywords, 1 ranks for 20 keywords and one ranks for 1 keyword.

-One has 12 inbound links, three have 1 inbound links and the remaining 11 have no inbound links.
-One has 4 linking domains, three have one linking domains and the reaming 11 having no linking domains.
-7 of the 13 are listing in Google Search Console. The remaining 7 are not.
-Only 3 of the 13 are shown as MOZ linking domains to our website.
-Website traffic has increased somewhat since link building began.
-There has was initially some improvement in ranking but that has dropped off. From the metrics above, does anything sound deficient about these links? Is the fact that they are not being picked up by MOZ a negative sign or is it just an indication that MOZ's link index is rather incomplete? How about the fact that the links are not indicated in Google Search Console? Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks,

New Website & DA Score
We are preparing to build a new website for a branch of our company. According to Neil Patel (whom I highly respect) our DA should come in around 30 (categorizing us as a startup, see chart below). So I ask: Why do our current sites DA Score below 30? (20 & 29 respectively) Our sites were redesigned in 2013 and are responsive, pass the Google Mobile Friendly test and I've improved load speed by over 25% by compressing images. I have used Moz as guidance for 10 months on both 7 + yo sites, HP.com is 14 yo, our pages score in the high 90's and I have disavowed bad backlinks for 6 months (now only every other month). I thought we would be in or close to the 50 range by 2017 after a solid year of improvements, but I don't see that happening. Our scores go up a point or two, then back down, we have floundered 2 points either way for 10 months. Most important question: What do I do now to raise our DA? Lastly, my plan is to take all the lessons learned from the past years and apply it to the new site, measure the success and then redesign the other two sites in accordance to the new model. Amount of Pages Crawled Dropped Significantly
I am just wondering if something changed with the SEOMoz crawler. I was always getting 10,000 or near 10,000 pages crawled. After the last two crawls I am ending up around 2500 pages. Has anything changed that I would need to look at it see if I am blocking the crawler or something else?

Seomoz suggetions implemented but keyword rankings dropping.
We have been with SEOMOZ for just a couple of weeks now. We impemented all the recommendations made in page analysis and crawl errors but since making changes we have started to fall in ranking for these keywords. Should we undo all his work or sit it out. Why would our rankings fall if these changes are for the better ? Thanks

Yahoo Site Explorer died. Does DA and PA Seomoz parameters have all it takes to replace YSE?
We're trying to simplify our link analysis job when acquiring a new external link. We're wondering to know if Domain Authority Seomoz parameter is all what we need to take a decision. Does DA Seomoz parameter takes into consideration 'domain age', 'alexa ranking', 'dmoz links', indexed pages on google', and 'inbound links vs outbound links'?
