Duplicate YouTube Script Content - Penalty?
-
I've been tasked with writing scripts for upward of 100 YouTube videos describing my company's products. In more than a few cases, the products are so similar as to be almost identical; unfortunately, they aren't and will require their own videos.
If I create a "template" script, I would save hours and hours of tedium. For example:
Video 1:
(VOICEOVER) Buy the ABC widget today!
Video 2:
(VOICEOVER) Buy the XYZ widget today!
So, my question is: Would I be looking at a duplicate content issue? Jeff McRichie's terrific Whiteboard Friday about YouTube Ranking Factors mentioned that YouTube has an auto-transcription feature that might expose my self-plagiarism, and I don't want to get dinged.
BTW, this isn't a matter of my being too lazy to write individualized content; it's more that 1) the products are almost identical, and 2) I have just about a week to write, produce, and act(!) in all of them.

So..here's the thing...
Your template script will be absolutely fine - as long as you don't put those videos on YouTube, where it could be seen as low quality content and will therefore be devalued.
However - luckily for you, best practice would actually be to not put this content on YouTube at all, and rather to self host the content (or use a secure third party hosting platform) and then submit a video XML sitemap in order to get rich snippets for your videos.
YouTube is an absolutely terrible place to put Product videos as the traffic you get on YouTube is typically low quality (nobody goes to YouTube to buy things) which will mean your videos don't rank will in YouTube, yet you still risk having customers searching for your products go to youtube.com rather than your landing page if the youtube.com url ranks in the Google organic search results for your product.
Conversely, if you securely host the content - Google will only drive customers to your site (and not to YouTube) and the algorithm won't be able to work out that you have lots of near duplicate video content.
So, in short - yes it is a problem if you put it on YouTube for the reasons mentioned - but it's not a problem if you self host. Plus, you should self host this kind of content anyway.

Looking for a content marketing agency alternative to Brafton.
We've worked with Brafton for a while now and aren't happy with their service. So we're looking for an alternative content marketing agency not a digital marketing agency. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Content Estimates
Are there any SEO Content writers that can create several pages for me on a post- graduate level for a target audience of physicians? Writing should be informative regarding our company and also optimized for keywords. I only have one quote so far from a company outside of SEOMoz and I was hoping to get someone on this site that had some experience in this area. Thank you, Utah Tiger

Sourcing content and images for Office Interior Design Blog
Im currently building a blog on Wordpress, and I will be blogging about Office Interior Designs. When I look at my competition they have some great blog posts about office interior designs and I have no idea about how they get: a) The ideas to blog about, how do they find out about these office interior designs b) how they get the content for them, how do they know what to write about each one, do they need permission etc, c) if i am interested in doing a blog on the same office interior design as them, how can I get information )and permission from the company that done the office interior design) on the office interior design so i can blog about it and also how do i get the images and stuff. an example is http://www.officedesignblog.com/invensys-rail-office-concept/726/ I would like to cover this aswell, as i think my future readers would like to know about this. how did they get the images, and the information about the project so they could write a blog post about it? And how would I go about doing the same thing?

Blogger & Blogspot Content - Move Across To Own Domain?
Hey, A few new clients have blogs hosted on blogger & blogspot, the first advice of mine is to set up a blog hosted on their company domain. It's usually easy to convince them of the benefits. What should happen to all the content on the existing blog? One blog in question has over 100 entries, good content with a lot of links back to the business domain. The blog itself has less than 10 links pointing in but a domain mozrank 3.5. In this example, my gut is telling me to leave it as is, and start fresh on the own domain. What about if there's less then 10 posts? At what point should the content be moved over to the new blog? Thanks for your thoughts.
