Yahoo Directory inclusion of Spanish Websites
-
Hi everyone!
I was wondering if anyone of you know if the Yahoo Directory accepts Spanish websites. My website has its 100% market in Mexico, so i havent seen the need to put an english version of the site.
I dont know if i can accomodate my site under regional or something in order to avoid translating the ecommerce site. Or i must put an english version of the site.
I would deeply thank your comments.
Thanks,

Great!
Thank you very much for the thorough response. I already sent it with the appropriate considerations. I am familiar with the Point Blank SEO Links i am halfway through :-).
I will read the second resource, ASAP. Thanx

Hi Jesus,
No, is considered a quality directory because of its authority. Plus, not all requests are published, you pay for them to consider your submission but if it's spammy or non-relevant won't be published. This is the type of criteria that you can apply to any directory really: What's their authority? what's the quality of the other links featured? Do they charge to review the submission or directly publish the link?
On the other hand, one spammy link won't hurt your site (unless is the only link it has or one of the few!) it's required more than that. You might want to consider also doing other type of tactics and building a full link building strategy for your site instead of concentrating so much on a few directory links though.
Here's a list with ideas and another with resources to inspire you.
Thanks,
Aleyda

Aleyda, thanks on the advice.
Following on the topic. Do you know if the Yahoo Directory would be considered a spammy link or low quality link. In essence you have to pay to be included.
Any comment on this matter?
Thanks in advance,
-
Aleyda,
Thank you very much! I will send my site under this section
Thanks!:)

Hi Jesus,
Here's the Mexico section in Yahoo where you can include your Mexican targeted website.
Thanks!

Is directory submission still a valid practice?
Hi Guys, I have few doubts running in my mind on directory submission, do you think it is still a valid practice in link building?. If your answer is "YES", then please correct me.. How submitting to directories is a natural link practice? According to Google, links should not be purchased, it should to be created naturally, but if you see, a lot of high authority directories charging amount from people to index links, why Google not stopping those directories (I mean penalizing) and stopping the people who are trying to get indexed by paying. According to me directories holds only bunch of links to some external domains (I hope I am not wrong), then how submitting to them can bring rankings to me?. Sorry, if I sound stupid in any of my points, but expecting some good answers from you folks.. 🙂

Is it a good idea to cross-link my websites?
I own multiple websites in the same niche but all are targeting a different sub-niche and different keywords. Is it a good idea to interlink all my websites? Could there be some negative effects?

Why are major directories missing from link report
Why are back links like dir.yahoo.com not listed in the link report for sites that are listed in dir.yahoo.com? For a site with 18 back links and a DA of 28, how much affect, if any, would a paid listing in a directory like yahoo have on the sites DA?

Do you think it is worth using this directory?
I mean if it will be beneficial for my project (site) to get listed at web-designers-directory.org Any thoughts on that or you had the experience of working with that site?

Will redirecting 250 linking domains to a new website from an old website freak Google out?
Prior to my accepting a project, the client decided to change the name of their company and purchased a new domain name to match. They hired a designer to build their new company site which has now been up and running for a little under 12 months. Up to this point they have done a good job of slowly redirecting small handfuls of linking domains from the old site to the new. They want to make one last push and point the remaining 250 linking domains from their old site to their new site. Will redirecting 250 linking domains to a new website from an old website freak Google out? If so, how many domains should be redirected at one time? My main concern is not wanting to upset Google and see the floor fall out on current keyword rankings, domain authority and page rank, etc.
