Can't seem to submit my xml sitemap to Baidu, can someone help?
-
Hello Mozers and SEM's,
I'm sure all of you know and understand the importance of uploading your sitemap to search engines. Once search engine in particular is Baidu. For some reason, i can't find a way to submit my link www.mysite.com/sitemap.xml. For Google, Bing, and Yandex it was easy, but Baidu is giving me problems. Don't tell me to "wait until they crawl your site", i have over 1000+ pages of unique content that those other 3 search engines found because of my sitemap; Baidu can't be that slow. Their robots only found 147 pages.
If you take a look at the image attachment, you can see why I'm stuck, i can't read chinese! (and it's an image, so i couldn't translate it).
Has anybody had any luck submitting their .xml link into Baidu? Can someone walk me through it?
Let me know!
Shawn

Even Step2 from baidu.com didn't help:
<a id="s2" name="s2"></a>Step 2: Click "Sitemap", add new data. http://www.baidu.com/search/sitemap_help.html

Do you think Content distribution might help for linkbuilding outreach ?
I'm building my netlinking strategy, and I know that creation great content on my website is the first step for good linkbuilding. However, as we know, a link does only worth if he can be viewed, shared, and ammended. I'm already including email outreach for my strategy, but I'm thinking of content distribution as a method to reach an even great audience, and to get some backlinks. To be clear, I'm not saying that my backlink strategy will be based on the links received through content distribution (which will be NOFOLLOW); but I think a large audience from the aggregate websites can see my content, and maybe link to it, so I can earn backlinks from the content I'm creating on my website. Based on your experience, what do you think?

What's an example of an SEO firm's site that lists their SEO packages excellently
Hello, I'd like to make a packages page on the site I'm still building bobweikelseo.com What's an example of a firm or SEO that lists their packages in a way that is appealing, useful, and all around excellent? I'm thinking of having a first package for analysis at $440, a second package for analysis and on-site SEO for $880, and a third package for analysis, on-site SEO, and link building for $2000-$4000/month depending on how fast they want the link building to go. Looking for some input on how to create a packages page, if my prices are appropriate (I want to be affordable), and an example of a website that does an excellent job at presenting their packages.

100's of versions of the same page. Is rel=canonical the solution???
Hi, I am currently working with an eCommerce site that has a goofy set up for their contact form. Basically, their are hundreds of "contact us" pages that look exactly the same but have different URLs and are used to help the store owner determine which product the user contacted them about. So almost every product has it's own "contact us" URL. The obvious solution is to do away with this set up but if that is not an option, would a rel=canonical tag linked back to the actually "contact us" page be a possible solution? Or is the canonical tag only used to show the difference between www vs non-www? Thanks!

What's a good host for wordpress?
I've been using A2Hosting.com for a few years and am looking for something more reliable and better tech support. I've looked at WP Engine, but would like something less expensive or someone to convince me that it's worth the cost I have 10 domains using Wordpress (clients sites) that need hosting. What are your recommendations, and what would be the ideal set up?

I'm looking for solid internet usage / traffic data.
Hi there, In a week or two I'll give my first internet marketing presentation to a local business club. Ill walk them through the basics of what is happening online, and how both B2B and B2C business can use their online assets as marketing tools. I want some basic statistical data to back up my story, like: Current web usage distribution (social/search/media etc) Growth of Mobile vs Desktop Search Engines distribution (google bing yahoo msn) Online retail numbers To top it all off, I would also like to be able to show both worldwide and The Netherlands data. What is my best bet for some serious datamining ;)? Thanks in advance for helping me out!
