what I would suggest you do is Google the average time someone gets a response from dmoz
unfortunately I believe you'll find a lot of people waiting years not just 2 weeks. They are all essentially volunteers and there aren't enough of them to keep up with the work. I would not worry about that directory it had its day and it's a directory after all. You can get much better links using different tactics found here in SEOmoz than you ever will by registering your site with dmoz
I'm in agreement with you to leave it there and see if it works. I hope it does definitely do the Google search. But if it tells you something that doesn't agree with or I'm saying please let me know because I would be shocked.

The Open Directory Project (ODP), also known as DMOZ (from directory.mozilla.org, its original domain name) is and severely understaffed I've heard of people waiting 2 years to get there site listed. I would not bother to be completely honest with you and listen to something very important to you. However I do know it will not have a big effect on your rankings whatsoever all they can really do is change your description of your website which Google still honors for some reason. I honestly would put my time in 2 doing something other than trying to get in that particular directory with the site that is more productive than playing with Dmoz I've literally known people that have gotten jobs there to try to get their site listed and that did new work. Duplicate contents with competitors websites
Hello, I have use the http://copyscape.com to check the duplicate content and found that my website have some errors duplicate contents with other competitors website. But a problem is, I could not define the reason of this (my website copied the competitors website or they copied of mine) To solve this issues, should I modify a unique my contents (this is difficult) or anyone have a good solution for this problem? Hi Everyone says quality backlinks increase ranking of your website. Can you please suggest a list of good websites and blogs from where I can get quality backlinks and how to do that. How to remove back links from third party website??
Hi Guys, I checked my website back-links and found some bad links. Now i just want to remove links from third party website. I know two methods as mentioned below: Disallow bad links from Google Webmaster Contact to webmaster and remove them I tried both of the above methods but not get success.Is there any other method to solve this issue??

Dmoz.Org listings - how much more difficult can it be?
We have had a quality website for 12 years. We have good rankings and good PR. But for some reason, I have never been able to get listed on Dmoz.org - it's like they're not even reviewing it. It's not like I got a rejection letter or anything, just a no response and we just can't seem to get listed there. It's almost like the editors for our category are just not responsive or just not around. Or maybe they're a competitor and don't want us listed? Questions: 1. How important is it for an established site to get listed? I imagine that dmoz being an authority site, it would still be very helpful for rankings. 2. There are dmoz "submission services" - where they claim to list your site the proper way. They don't guarantee their service, since they obviously can't, and you have to pay either way. Does anyone recommend these services and anyone know of a particular one that is up & up? Any help on getting listed would be appreciated!
