Opens Site Explorer sees two pages that are one

www.mysite.com/ and www.mysite.com/default.asp are both showing up in open site explorer. How do I make sure that these are not being interpreted as two pages when they are the same page? (Both in search engines and OSE.)

It looks like I have done it correctly with the rel canonical. Open Site Explorer shows it as two different pages. I suppose that is just the way OSE works.
This line:
is in the header of both www.mysite.com/ and www.mysite.com/default.asp.

There are a couple of options for site owners in your situation. The first option is to create a 301 redirect from the "duplicate" page to the "preferred" page. This will eliminate that extra URL and forward it to the preferred one. If that's not possible for whatever reason, you can specify the rel canonical tag in your head section which basically tells search bots to prefer the page you specify in that tag. Pages with URL Too Long
Hello Mozzers! MOZ keeps kindly telling me the URLs are too long. However, this is largely due to the structure of E-commerce site, which has to include 'brand' 'range' and 'products' keyword. For example -

If it's not an issue, how can we turn off this alert from MOZ?

I'm about to update our site with a new theme and content on moz.com I've found myself becoming so much more confident at all this. I've read all the material I can on Moz re: Site migration but still have one question. How do I find out all the links that I need to 301 before I make the new site live? Data from Open Site Explorer to Excel

Why is a low ranking site outperforming a higher one?
Hi, I've got a question here that is more about learning than about rectifying this specific situation, as it is a low traffic (low dollar) situation. I would appreciate your help. Thanks, Ken The targeted long-tail is: carrollton ga internet marketing The targeted site is: http://www.kennethlewis.com/ Yet, when I run the keyword search I get this other site of mine, which is older, but has much worse metrics. http://www.breemawellness.com/ On this site, all I did was put a in-text link on it and added the keywords to my title tags. Open Site Explorer shows these metrics: KennethLewis.com 34, 23, 18, 98 vs. BreemaWellness 27, 15, 7, 10. Both are on the same server. Note: -Until two months ago the KennethLewis.com was only partially about Internet Marketing- mildly so, actually- and it was a 2-3 page iWeb not-optimized site. But BreemaWellness has never been about Internet Marketing, and those words were just added two months ago for the first time. -KennethLewis.com gets regular content changes, to the blog. BreemaWellness.com almost never gets touched. Thoughts?
