Hi there, my question: is there a limit of keywords we can optimize for?

I mean my site has 12-15 different pages I can optimize for different keywords. I just heard that it's convinient not to optimize for many keywords o criteria.

Is that right?

Keyword snuffing is bad. How great content you have. I have seen some blogger do SEO from PR 0 to 4 - anyhow they get caught the blog is heck now !

In a page i use max of 5.

Might be some SEO experts here give more details about this ?

Ecommerce URLs with numbers

Hi everybody! I have to optimize an ecommerce where somebody has previously done the SEO optimization, although the URLs have numbers before the product's name They have told me that these numbers are useful to find the products, so I think it shouldn't be really bad if I don't redirect them to "clear" ones. For example: /colesterol-sobrepeso/2217-hc-grass-capsulas-duras-15-capsulas.html > /colesterol-sobrepeso/hc-grass-capsulas-duras-15-capsulas.html Am I right? After all, they contain the keywords and the subfolders are also ok. Or it would be better if I redirect the whole site? Thanks!

Impact of number of outgoing links on Page Rank of an optimized page?

What is the current best practice on preferred number of outbound links on a page you are trying to rank with: According to online resources form a pure page rank perspective a high number of outbound follow links can have a negative impact not only on child pages but also the page itself

Unable to see internal link numbers on Opensiteexplorer - Need help

I'm Anuj, a regular user of SEOMOZ. I need some SEO guidance from SEO experts. I'm trying to optimize a webstore for few keywords. I am facing some issues on SEO I was using https all over the webstore and was advised by the community members to not have https through out the site (Due to various reasons). The internal links were not showing up in opensiteexplorer & Google Webmaster Tools too when the site was with https (They were just showing 1 or 2). After changing the pages from https to http, I'm now able to see all the internal links of my website on GWT. Unfortunately, the internal link count on opensiteexplorer shows a very small fraction when compared to the # of internal links shown on GWT. The link update from Opensiteexplorer was on 27th FEB 2013. I had done the https to http (for all pages) somewhere between 17-24th of JANUARY 2013. I wanted to know if I have missed something as I am unable to see those numbers on Opensiteexplorer or will it take time for opensiteexplorer to show the internal link numbers ?

What is everyone doing to reduce the number of links on a page?

Some clients of mine have sites that are throwing the "too many links on one page" error and we're not just talking a little more than the status quo 100 links, it's much more. I believe it could be due to the fly-out navigation. My Solution: shorten the Tier 2 categories in the left nav down to 5 and add a "View All" link after the 5th and remove top nav fly-outs. I'm not sure if these are best practices or the best for usability though?

Telephone numbers on page getting classed as 404s by SEOMoz

Hi there, I have a number of clients who have their telephone numbers on their sites (understandably of course!) and SEOmoz is classing them as links and therefore a 404 in the crawl software. The protocol is added in the code so if viewing the page on a mobile you can call the client. Should I be doing anything else? Webmaster does not pick these up as 404s so I am wondering if this is an SEOmoz bug or that I should be adding a no-follow? Thanks jT

It has been recommended that we remove the number of links in our footer, should we?

We have a pretty user friendly footer with almost an entire site-map on it. It's similar to many e-commerce company footers, and I think it's useful to the user. SEO professionals have recommended that to reduce the number of links on any given page on our site we should compress our footer and only show the headers, thus removing many links. This in my opinion is a disservice to the user and makes the site not look as good, but maybe it's a good idea for SEO to get rid of so many links per page? What do you think? Numbers in URL's - Search friendly or not?

Hi Mozzers, I have a client who has just launched a new website and we are having difficulties in making the URL's search friendly. I wont get into the technical aspects, but I'll explain the potential solutions the developers have given me. current: www.site.com/en/product/browse-by-product/37/22 Where 'en' stands for the English version of the website, 37 is the product category for example 'hard drives', and 22 is the product name or example 'seagate' Option to fix; www.site.com/en/p/product/hard-drives-37/seagate-22 This optional fix reduces the word product down to p, reduces 'browse by product' to 'product' and inserts the category and product names. Note the category identifier '37' has to be included in the URL, and the product identifier '22' also has to be in the URL. Obviously this is not great, but it is required at the moment. Best case scenario would be to have the URL like this... www.site.com/en/hard-drives/seagate So my question is, how far off the best case scenario is the option to fix? Scale of 1 to 10 would be good?
