Sitemap indexing problem
-
I changed some links of my website and deleted some links and created some links. After that I generated a sitemap again and re-submitted to google webmaster. I used 301 redirects for deleted or changed links and there are no broken links on my site (this is confirmed)
sitemap was generated from here
in my sitemap 285 links are present but google webmaster is showing that only 218 links have been indexed. Also my traffic felt down considerably since last 2 days ever since i submitted my new sitemap. Also when I searched for my sitename in google, it showed top 6 results within the site now it is just showing top 2 results.
for reference my website is www.geekwik.com
HAVE I DONE ANYTHING WRONG? OR IS THERE A MORE AUTHENTIC PLACE TO GENERATE A SITEMAP. REALLY APPRECIATE ANY HELP ON THIS.

Sitemaps from xml-sitemaps are completely reliable. Google does not index all pages of your site and it also doesn't show the exact amount of indexed pages, that way the prevent users from using shady tactics to fool the system.
In my case, with about 4K pages submitted to Google via sitemap, about 3.5K are indexed (that's what it says in WT) but when performing a site:example.com search it shows about 5k results. So as you can see, those numbers that Google show are not exact, those are just estimates. If you submit 200 pages via the sitemap and google indexes only 10, then there's a problem.
As per your traffic change, you should look on another possible reasons, ans it could also take some time to reindex all your pages.

link building problems
Hello everyone

I am not sure about the way Moz rank websites but sometimes I think it's a bit confusing. As an example, it kept changing in 3 days by going up and down. In addition, It is not compatible with my Ahrefs ranking. Would you please tell me which one is more correct and accurate in terms of my website authority?
It would be my pleasure if you take look at it first. Thank you in advance.

Is a lot of inbound traffic coming from site a problem for SEO?
We have a site which is going to deliver content to a big news site and in return we will receive a lot of traffic from the news site. Estimates are that it will be about 50% of our daily traffic. Before this we have about 2000 daily visits, where 50% is from organic traffic. How will this affect our rankings? (It should be pretty obvious to Google that an increase like that in reffered traffic is bought - which I assume will ahve a negative impact on our organic rankings) What is the best tactic to use - regarding SEO - if (when) we proceed to deliver content/recieve traffic from that news site? (we have a lot of decent rankings on several branch keywords, and we don't want to risk those rankings. On the other hand - if we could improve our rankings from this deal - we would like inputs to that as well? Best regards, Chris

SEO Value Of Non-Indexed Links
I have a link built to a site, but it's not showing up in Open Site Explorer and doesn't appear to be indexed currently by Google. Does anyone know of any research done on SEO value if any on non-indexed links? Thanks

Making sure links get indexed by google?
Hi I currently submitted to 30 seo directories & I just want to make sure my links get indexed by google so the link value passes onto my site. Any suggestions about getting my links indexed? I was thinking of either pinging or social book marketing the links! What's your view, thanks.
