Filtering OSE Results
-
Issue: When I export OSE Linking Pages results to .CSV, I'd like to filter only unique domains.
It seems to me that there should be a way to do this with Excel, perhaps pivot table.
Anyone have a quick solution for this?
Alternatively, I can use Linking Domains, which gives all unique roots, but then i lose follow/nofollow filter.
Thoughts?

Sort by domain name.
Export to Text.
Find replace / with tab character.
Put back into Excel.
Do a count of domain names.
Compress at totals.
You'll have a list of unique domains.

How do you run ranks now for clients that aren't in your local area now that Google customizes search results based on location?
How do you run ranks now for clients that aren't in your local area now that Google customizes search results based on location? What tool/service have you found that gives accurate rank results? To me it seems like there is no guaranteed global #1position any more, or is this the situation for only certain types of searches? Likewise how can anyone tool give a global accurate rank score?

Escape commas in OSE csv export
Hi When I import an OSE Site Crawl .csv to Excel, the lines get messed up. This is due to commas within the crawled site: For instance, when there is a comma in the Meta Description field, it gets separated into two fields. Is there any way to escape this so that only the correct fields get separated? Thanks!

Two PR 5 websites, but little to no link data in OSE. How??
As the title states - We've recently developed two sites for clients - within the last 4 months or so. With the Google PR update, both sites are sitting as PR 5 sites. I've tried to have a look in the OSE for the backlink profile of both websites, but I see nothing. Even Majestic SEO's fresh index doesn't provide much info. The DA of each site is 11-16. I would really love to see what's generating the link juice to these sites. Any ideas? The two sites are: https://bfore.co.za

How Old is OSE link data?
I ran an anchor text report for my client today, which shows that their site has some incoming comment spam links using totally unrelated phrases (pharma products). However, when looking for the live link, the linking page no longer contains the link to them. Maybe the webmasters removed these, but I can't track down a single one... how old is this data? thanks

Y!SE and OSE
Hi So now when Y!SE is closed im trying to find alternative, so im trying OSE basically i like the data that it showed to me but the numbers is unbelievable different. Im used Y!SE about 1 year so i have statistic for a year. Previous month for my client homepage i have 2625 total external links and now OSE reports me only 1558, for the main category page was 16 now 68\. Most strange for me is total external links for root domain on Y!SE its always been around 6-7k but now OSE reports me 10,053. So my question why numbers so different can it be that the Y!SE don`t update for several month there data or some others reason? Thanks, Sergey

Trying to boost Backlinks but OSE still shows same figures for past month
I often check Open site explorer to see if I increased in linking root domains to my site after getting some backlinks on it. I have a concern about the number it is displaying: How does this statistic get updated? If I spread backlinks on some sites do i have to do anything else like ping it so google can crawl it so OSE sees it and counts it towards my linking root domain statistic? Is this current figure OSE is reading from cache and giving me an outdated number? NNzAn.jpg

Keyword Difficulty Tool on local results. Is this really working?
I've tried the Keyword Difficulty Tool on "consultant seo" in Romania (that is .ro) The tool says that it's Highly Competitive (59%), but I've got my website on #8 in 2 weeks. Question: Is this tool really working for local results? It seems way off... Actually I was kind of expecting for this keyword to be easy, what is confusing is the "59%" from the Keyword Difficulty results. Thanks for the answers!
