Number of backlinks throughout time
-
From what I understand one important aspect in link building is how those backlinks have been acquired throughout time. So if a website gets a large number of backlinks in a short amount of time, the value of those links are reduced in the eyes of search engines.
Is there a tool in SEOMoz (that i can't find) that would show the change of backlinks for my campaigns in the last one year?

The payday loan site probably just made the buzz with a great content ;).

Thanks Tom.

Unfortunately, I don't think SEOMoz provides this. However, MajesticSEO does. The tool's index tells you when the link was first discovered, which you can export into an excel sheet, which allows you to sort by discovery and visualise when the links were discovered from there.
Majestic also does provide a visualisation tool to see the acquisition of links over time. Here is an example:

And just for fun, here's a payday loan spam site

Hope this helps

I have used my keyword only 12 times but on-page grader shows it 40 times?
Hey experts, I hope you are doing great, kindly have a look at this page, my keyword for this page is "Sports Streaming Sites". The text has a length of 5344 words and I'm using my keyword in this post as follow: 1. Text Body: 12 times(including headers)

2. Alt tags: 10 times (20+ Images)
3. Title: 1 Time
4. Description: 1 Time
5. Permalink: 1 Time This is a total of 25 times in 5344 words, but when I check this page with moz on-page grader, it shows that I'm using this keyword 40 times and its stuffed, can anybody please explain it to me, I'm so confused and it'll be so nice of you. Here is the on-page grader report page: https://analytics.moz.com/pro/research/page-grader?keyword=Sports%20Streaming%20Sites&url=https%3A%2F%2Firiveramerica.com%2Ffree-best-sports-streaming-sites%2F0 -
Rankings reporting showing inaccurate improve/decline/unchanged numbers
Our rankings report is showing inaccurate numbers for the improved, declined, and unchanged summary, both in the email and on the site. According to the added up numbers, we have 315 keywords in the campaign, but that's not possible as we only have 172 set up for it. The total for this section is correct, it just doesn't add up.

Total number of outbound external links?
Hi Mozzers, Is anyone aware of a tool that will tell me how many outbound external links there are on my website? Basically, I have a theory that our website is littered with links to other websites, but need to know the approximate figure. As far as I can tell, none of the Moz tools tell me this? Any help appreciated! Cheers Matt

OSE Backlink results - reported link not actually there?
Not a complaint, but a question to understand how the research tool operates: When I run backlink checks on websites, often the reported link is not only not on the page, but it's not found anywhere on the site. I use several tools to search for the link url as well as for the keyword. Why does the tool report a link is there, but I cannot find the links in some cases? Is there a lag in the information the tool is using, making it not quite up to date, or is it something else? Thanks much!

Does the Moz Toolset offer anything like Raven's Backlink Explorer from fresh index
It seems like a useful feature where I can see what backlinks look like right now vs. the last monthly Moz dataset update. That is mostly because my site is new, but wondered if I was missing something. Thanks, Steven

Wild fluctuation in number of pages crawled
I am seeing huge fluctuations in the number of pages discovered the crawl each week. Some weeks the crawl discovers > 10,000 pages and other weeks I am seeing 4-500. So, this week for example I was hoping to see some changes reflected for warnings from last weeks report (which discovered > 10,000 pages). However, the entire crawl this week was 448 pages. The number of pages discovered each week seems to go back and forth between these two extremes. The more accurate count would be nearer the 10,000 mark than the 400 range. Thanks. Mark

Can someone explain why I have been seeing an increase in the number of Linking Page URLs in OSE that link directly to downloads?
Ever since the last couple Linkscape updates when doing competitive back link analysis I have noticed a large increase in the number of URLs of Linking Pages in OSE that result in an immediate file download. The majority of the time these downloads are not common files ie PDF, DOC files. For example, these were all in a competitors back link profile: http://download.unesp.br/linux/debian/pool/main/i/isc-dhcp/isc-dhcp-relay-dbg_4.1.1-P1-17_ia64.deb http://snow.fmi.fi/data/20090210_eurasia_sd_025grid.mat http://www.rose-hulman.edu/class/me/HTML/ES204_0708_S/working model examples/Le25 mad hatter.wm?a=p&id=145880&g=5&p=sia&date=iso&o=ajgrep These are just a few I came across for a single competitor. Is this sketchy black hat SEO, some sort of error, actual links, or something else? Any information on this subject would be helpful. Thank you.
