Moz vs google data conflict?
-
Hi there,
I am doing an SEO site audit for a client(giveaway, and here is the problem:
when performing site:domain.com on google --> 13,800 pages were found
When I see this number it seems to be a bit too much compare to the links i checked on integrity(link check for broken links) which gave me a result of 1291. I digged in more into the Google results and saw hundreds(maybe thousands) of pages that are blocked by robots.txt. So I am thinking, ok this is it, thousands of pages can't be crawled by the search engines. Here is the big BUT though, then I check at my moz crawl (see attachment) and no pages are blocked by the SEs, and then look at the dups, only 23 recorded??
Is Moz not crawling properly the 13,800 results that google finds or is this some magical phenomenon happening here? I am really confused here that is why I need some help here!
Thank you guys!

Hi Jarno,
Unfortunately I can't really reveal the domain name because of our privacy policy...:(
The extra thing I can provide though is that I was able to see only 440 results from google(44). I wasn't able to see the remaining so I have a feeling that Google went a little overboard here. Since the clients offer giveaways you might be right that google detects all the links pointing to this domain that are shared by visitors or prospects.
What do you think?

Dear Taysir,
can you let me in on the domainname, then i can check the number of pages the website truly holds (google can also index pages linking to your content with the statement site:domain.com so i wouldn't be to hung up on that number).
regards
Jarno

How do I know which keywords to track in my MOZ Campaigns?
Good morning Mozzers from the London, England. This may be a silly question to many of the community, but here goes "How do I know which keywords to track in my MOZ campaigns?" I work in the gyms section in the UK and am tracking keywords like "Gyms in Liverpool" or "Manchester gyms" which send me some traffic. I can see search terms like the above do send me traffic from Google's Webmaster Tools, but obviously this tool won't highlight the keyword opportunities I am missing out on because I currently don't rank. Any guidance on this dilemma would be hugely appreciated, Kindest regards Ben

Looking to pull a report from MOZ with global search volume
I'm in need of a monthly report on campaign keywords with rank AND global search volume (not "just" traffic.) Is this doable from MOZ? More generally, what does monthly SEO reporting to the C-Suite look like for most SEO's? Would be a good "#WhiteboardFriday" topic. We are a mid sized ecommerce retailer.

Simply Report for new requests with Moz Pro Plus
Hi all I'd like to know how can I construct a brief report to send to my potential customers when they first write me asking for general informations and evaluation about their websites and certain keywords for which they want to have a great rank. I'd like to reply them with a short email, with a basic report attached, in which showing them some little details about their (and eventually their competitors) ranking and/or their website situation. It's just a brief professional introduction to our seo and web marketing services. Now I'm doing it manually or with other seo tools, but I have just bought a Moz Pro Plus annually version and I'd like to use Moz for this activity. For example, when I first insert a new campaign, I don't see ranking for days so I can't send rankinh report. Do you have any advice? Thanks.

Open Site Explorer vs Webmaster Tools
Hi there. OSE is showing 53 linking domains and WMT is showing 161.

Why are so many missing from OSE. They are all links of a decent age. Thanks0 -
Why is OSE showing no data for this URL?
Hi all, Does anyone have any ideas as to why OSE might not have any data for this URL: http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/product/shure-slx24-sm58-wireless-microphone-system-j3 It is not a new page at all. It's been on the site for years. Is OSE being quirky? Or is there an underlying problem with this page? Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this, Dana

Has MozTrust predicted fall in Google rankings???
The definition of MozTrust is:
Moz Pro | | driansmith
"MozTrust is SEOmoz's global link trust score. It is similar to MozRank but rather than measuring link popularity, it measures link trust. Receiving links from sources which have inherent trust, such as the homepages of major university websites or certain governmental web pages, is a strong trust endorsement." That being the case it is quite disturbing that a number of websites have been hit very badly by the latest Google algorithm changes that did indeed have very respectable MozTrust rankings. Can I ask whether anybody has carried out any sort of analysis of MozTrust versus negative impact in Google rankings? The prediction would of course be that websites suffering from a lower MozTrust would have been hit quite badly by these recent changes.0 -
SEOmoz v's Google Webmaster Keyword Ranking
Hi, how accurate is SEOmoz keyword ranking v's Google Webmaster? Some Keywords in SEOmoz say I'm in position 3 in Ireland for some Keywords and in Google Webmaster they are figures like 16. I understand in Google Webmaster that the keyword position is an Average What should I be going by and what is the credibility of both ranking estimators?

What is the quickest way to get OSE data for many URLs all at once?
I have over 400 URLs in a spreadsheet and I would like to get Open Site Explorer data (domain/page authority/trust etc) for each URL. Would I use the Linkscape API to do this quickly (ie not manually entering every single site into OSE)? Or is there something in OSE or a tool I am overlooking? And whatever the best process is, can you give a brief overview? Thanks!! -Dan
