HI all-
I recently finished our first product video, about a candy called Sixlets. It's meant to be an educational video (as compared to linkbait) but of course I would love to get to seo benefit out of it. I am planning on putting the video on the individual product pages for each color sixlet to make sure people get the information they need. I am also planning on putting it on a page I will create that will house all of our videos.
When I put together the video sitemap (via Wistia), I was really thinking of only including the video page, not the product pages, as as not to appear to be spammy. Does this make sense or am I going about this all wrong. Just want to make sure, as I am new to video.

If the video is useful for visitors to those pages and elsewise, the copy on those pages is unique, there's no problem putting the video on all the pages.

YouTube SEO: Can low quality videos you posted in the past hurt your seo for future videos ?
I have a very old youtube channel (10 years maybe) with some low quality videos and a few thousands subscribers. Now I decided to give it go and make good quality videos. But one question keeps coming: maybe the fact that this channel is old and with bad videos with very low retention, this would affect the seo of the new videos ? Do I need to use a CNAME for wistia video hosting?
I'm using Wisita for video hosting. My strategy is to allow other sites to embed videos to get links - I want the video linking back to my site not wistia or the embeding site. Do I need to use the Wistia CNAME or is a wistia subdomain acceptable?

Posting a video on your site and also on youtube
Hi, Quick question. I have a content page which contains a youtube embedded video. I want to rank that page for a specific keyword phrases on google. I also want to rank the video youtube url aswell for the exact same specific keywords. Does anyone from experience know if this would be considered duplicate content (same video) or work? Same video on both URLs but the video on my site has additional valuable content surrounding the video. Regards, Jerry

Video hosting - SEO
Hi, We host all of our videos on You Tube and use embedded links to display on our site. When people search keywords related to our videos they are linking back to You Tube through SERPs. Is there a way link SERPs to websites instead of You Tube? Any advice would be appreciated. Sean

Video Dictionary Site
Hi , Recently launched a video dictionary site - http://www.megavocab.com With whatever I could learn of SEO , I included the transcript for the video in the page - http://www.megavocab.com/dictionary-definition-maladroit.html But this makes the page look shabby (when compared to page like - http://www.megavocab.com/dictionary-definition-zealot.html) and the transcript per say does not help much to user ... I am in a delimma whether to include the transcript or not ... please guide...
