Crawl report shows Title Element too long but they aren't
-
Hi,
My latest crawl report says that I have a stack of pages with Title Element Too Long on them - e.g.
Build My Ride - charity team building event with real purposeBuild My Ride - charity team building event with real purpose
http://www.teamelevate.co.nz/events/build-my-ride1.html
You can see that it shows the title element as doubled-up. When I look at the title element on the live page it is not double. GWT shows that there are no issues with long title elements.
Any ideas anyone...?
Chris

Cheers for taking the time to respond Jarno
I have contacted the help desk and await their response...

Chris,
could be a glitch in the software. Most of the times glitches like this will be fixed in time. I just checked one of my campaigns that was crawled today and don't have the some problem. Have you first contacted the support desk with this?
Try you're search here: http://moz.com/help/pro maybe support a ticket and get you're answer from the help team.
regards
Jarno

Since July 1, we've had a HUGE jump in errors on our weekly crawl. We don't think anything has changed on our website. Has MOZ changed something that would account for a large leap in duplicate content and duplicate title errors?
Our error report went from 1,900 to 18,000 in one swoop, starting right around the first of July. The errors are duplicate content and duplicate title, as if it does not see our 301 redirects. Any insights?

On Page Reports for Long-Tail Keywords?
First Q&A here, so take it easy on me. Hopefully this is not a dumb question. 99% of the on page reports I look at are for local keywords. I'm finding that some of the page reports get and F where they should be receiving A's. I noticed if I manage a long-tail keyword like "books in houston tx" that I get a grade based on the exact phrase as opposed to a combination of the keywords. So when I have text in the body saying "books in the Houston area" or "Houston Books" for example, instead of using my exact managed keyword, it will tell me that the keyword is not mentioned in the body anywhere. When it is, it's just not in the exact order... I'm trying to write my pages for users and I don't think the users want to hear "books in houston tx" several times. If I do a report on the same page for the keyword "books" I get an A. So this is where it gets a little in the grey area for me. I need a solid on page report for local long-tail search terms. Anyone have any advice? Is there a way I could be using this tool to better suit my needs?

Warnings, Notices, and Errors- don't know how to correct these
I have been watching my Notices, Warnings and Errors increase since I added a blog to our WordPress site. Is this effecting our SEO? We now have the following: 2 4XX errors. 1 is for a page that we changed the title and nav for in mid March. And one for a page we removed. The nav on the site is working as far as I can see. This seems like a cache issue, but who knows? 20 warnings for “missing meta description tag”. These are all blog archive and author pages. Some have resulted from pagination and are “Part 2, Part 3, Part 4” etc. Others are the first page for authors. And there is one called “new page” that I can’t locate in our Pages admin and have no idea what it is. 5 warnings for “title element too long”. These are also archive pages that have the blog name and so are pages I can’t access through the admin to control page title plus “part 2’s and so on. 71 Notices for “Rel Cononical”. The rel cononicals are all being generated automatically and are for pages of all sorts. Some are for a content pages within the site, a bunch are blog posts, and archive pages for date, blog category and pagination archive pages 6 are 301’s. These are split between blog pagination, author and a couple of site content pages- contact and portfolio. Can’t imagine why these are here. 8 meta-robot nofollow. These are blog articles but only some of the posts. Don’t know why we are generating this for some and not all. And half of them are for the exact same page so there are really only 4 originals on this list. The others are dupes. 8 Blocked my meta-robots. And are also for the same 4 blog posts but duplicated twice each. We use All in One SEO. There is an option to use noindex for archives, categories that I do not have enabled. And also to autogenerate descriptions which I do not have enabled. I wasn’t concerned about these at first, but I read these (below) questions yesterday, and think I'd better do something as these are mounting up. I’m wondering if I should be asking our team for some code changes but not sure what exactly would be best. http://www.seomoz.org/q/pages-i-dont-want-customers-to-see http://www.robotstxt.org/meta.html Our site is http://www.fateyes.com Thanks so much for any assistance on this!

'Too many on-page links': doesn't add up...
Hi All, I'm fairly new to the site, have had a full site crawl and am somewhat confused by a large number of pages (82) reported as showing 'too many on page links'. Mine is a new e-commerce site selling a project management methodology. I have about 80 pages which describe individual templates and contain internal links to additional, related content on the site. The crawl warnings define too many on page links as roughly 100 "on any given page" yet almost none of the pages flagged contain more than 20-30 on links. Any thoughts and ideas about (a) the degree to which this will aeffect my ranking in practice and (b) how to resolve it gratefully received! Thanks in advance, Felix

Why don't I see it on the open site report?

Why don't Google+ URL's work in OSE?
Is there any reason why Google+ URLs does not work in OSE? Is it just that it is a secure URL or is there something bigger there? Why? Be cool to determine every website the person has been published on; especially if it is rel="author" verified. Jeff

On raking reports
Hello. I was wondering why doesn't SEOMoz update ranking reports daily as opposed to weekly. Rankings to change overnight and since other services do it (e.g sescout.com) I can't really why not this one.
