Do footer links pass less link juice?

One of my best inbound links for PA and DA happens to be a footer link, curious if it's less valuable or has any value at all.

Thanks! I was curious all of my competitors 'best links' (when looking at OSE) seemed to be footers as well.

They have become far less valuable (almost none now) for passing PR, but for internal linking its still a little valuable, especially if there arent very many. But for the most part footers are no longer valuable - Google cracked down on that a while ago.

Internal Link Building and Link Juice Quality

Hi There! I manage the website for a law office that covers many geographical locations. For very specific niche content, we would prefer to create one piece of content and link to the various geographic locations where we would handle that topic instead of posting multiple variations of the same content for each specific geographical area. If we put a button on these pages that has links to each location, will that have the same "link juice" effect to the pages we're linking that linking directly in the text would? When we use 'link:' for who get the link, how come google show us the same domain as a link.

the search result show the domain of its own. what is is? and is it meaningful as a link?

Text link to root in footer template

Hey Mozers, My first post here, I look forward to contributing what I learn and collecting knowledge branches (github joke) from you all. How valuable is a text link in the footer template to your home page (root)? My guess would be that it sends the on page link juice back to the home page. I don't believe this link should use keywords though (post penguin world). I realize we should have a pyramid architecture (http://www.seomoz.org/blog/internal-linking-strategies-for-2012-and-beyond) but should every page link back to the homage page? What variables does this effect?

Links in the Classifieds

We rent apartments. One way we use to find clients is to advertize these apartments in Classifieds. Generally, we use free ads. Sometimes, for very popular sites ( like Kijiji), we pay so our ads can be seen first. Could this be a problem with Google? Some sites send us clients, many of them never do. We keep putting ads there because of their PR. What is the worth of this kind of links? Thanks for your answers.

So I ran into a site that was not ranking 4 days ago and has over 2 million links to it on some keywords. My guess is this is a link bomb, but the issue is this is pushing one of my sites down. Does anyone know a good way to over come a bomb like this?

So I ran http://www.riogrande.com/ into this site not that long ago and wanted to see if any other SEO's have an opinion on it. I've seen a Google bomb before, but the amount of links going into this URL is insane. The thing is how does one over come a Google Bomb? Do you just wait to see what Google does or do you just hope to rank under that URL? I should also note that it appears that all the keywords to it are relevant to the sites content. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks
