Hi All,

I read an old post (2011) about ignoring rel canonical notices from Moz. I wondered why they can be ignored? The thing is, it's showing a bunch of rel canonical errors for my pages but I know I have the tag right. At the risk of being offensive.. can the notices be ignored because the Moz data is erroneous? I'm not sure what to make of this.

Sorry but I don't fully understand the issues you have.

Hi Sorina,

Thanks for the info. The rel canonical settings are fine though. And I'm still getting a ton of warnings for %%term_title%%. Only the original post is set for index, follow. Any ideas?

The Moz data is not erroneous.
But Moz can't know if your rel canonical setting are OK or not, because these settings depend on your own website particularities.

You shouldn't ignore these notices, what you should do is check them, and when the rel canonical URL doesn't match the actual URL of the page verify that the setting is correct, that you don't want the actual URL to rank but instead you want the canonical URL to rank because the actual page is duplicate content of the canonical page.

Moz and HubSpot SSL - crawl error?

I'm getting an error message when Moz tries to crawl my site, however when I check in Google Search Console, they return no errors. Our site is hosted on HubSpot. Is Moz still having trouble crawling HubSpot sites that have enabled their SSL? I read an article that this should have been corrected in early 2017, but I'm getting an error.

MOZ not accepting recent changes

We have made some changes on our website according to the SEO standards per Moz report and did some crawler tests but it seems that MOZ is not crawling our recent changes. It is showing the results according to the previous data. What can be the problem here?

Moz analytics telling me I have duplicate content issues - how to fix this?

Hey guys, Okay I ran into moz analytics - I have I have 199 Issues, priority issues are showing 38 Duplicate page content. I began looking into the URL's and from what I have noticed from all the urls are showing me a common theme. The urls are pointing to my blog pages - my blog is using wordpress. What iv noticed is the urls all have "Tag" in it Here are 3 examples that I have found. All url's take me to a blank page: Does anyone know what the solution is to fixing this? I read the article for duplicate content covering 301 redirects and Rel=Canonical tags - I'm wondering if this would need to be considered in this case? I have a duplicate content on my Moz crawler, but google hasn't indexed those pages: do I still need to get rid of the tags?

I received an urgent error from the Moz crawler that I have duplicate content on my site due to the tags I have. For example: http://www.1forjustice.com/graves-amendment/ The real article found here: http://www.1forjustice.com/car-accident-rental-car/ I didn't think this was a big deal, because when I looked at my GWT these pages weren't indexed (picture attached). Question: should I bother fixing this from an SEO perspective? If Google isn't indexing the pages, then am I losing link juice? 6c2kxiZ

New to Moz and wanted a bit of help with my report

Hi, I have used the MOZ report to analyse one of my friends sites and I wanted to query a few warnings it highlighted and I just wanted people's thought on how important they thought these were: The first is dupliate descriptions/titles. This is mainly down the e-commerce pages. Fist duplicate content:
On some pages the description is identical and all that is different is the title and picture, is this an issue? Duplicate pages:
Due to the way the website folder structure/catergories has been created some pages are identical but because the product comes under 2 cetergories there is 2 seperate pages, should we use the canonical on one of the pages? Also regarding the canonical tag, they have put link rel="canonical" on every page and got it to point at itself, so not really being used in the way it is meant to be. Could something like this cause any harm? The final thing is internal linking back to the homepage. If for example the homepage is http://www.test.com, when linking back is it best to put the full URL over "index.html" even though they are the same page? Any help really appreciated Dan
