On-Page Grader: F, Backlink still work?
-
For some reason, i can't optimize the page, and on-page Grader is F, whether the backlink with anchor text still work?
Any thing i can do in such situation?
-
I will again recommend not to use exact match anchor text but try multiple anchor texts around your targeted keyword plus i would highly recommend using the idea of co-occurrence

You got my point and answered my question, even though my question is confused.
That mean even though the keywords "SEO Back link" not including in page content/title, url, h1.., and can not get a high grader in on-page grader, we still can get our page listed in the "SEO Back Link" search result though get enough back link under the anchor text "SEO Back Link".

I think i got your question... this is for some reason you cannot add your targeted key phrase within your content so when grabbing links you are planning to get exact match anchor text and you want to know if this still works!
If this is the question then I guess it’s not really a problem that you are not adding keywords within the content but when grabbing links make it natural instead of adding exact match anchor text... try to get some links with anchor texts that are not exact but move around the same!
How this helps!

I don't understand the question either "whether the backlink with anchor text still work?". How do you mean that? The grader is only for on page SEO. I don't think the Grader accounts for anchor text because the anchor text link would be pointing to another page (page B). The Grader only grades the current page (page A), not a different page (page B).

I am not sure I understand the problem or the question. Assuming others will be as foggy as I am the best advice I can give is to expand your question with more details as to your situation and question.
If the on page grader is an F for a keyword then it is reasonable to assume the link will not be very valuable for the keyword. A better test would be to see where the page is currently ranked in the SERP for that keyword. The onpage grader is a great tool but I do not believe it has adjustments made for over optimization penalties that are now in Google algorithms.
But the current value of a page to a keyword is always clear by simply finding it in the SE you are optimizing for.

Should my backlinks point to my home page or to internal article pages?
Hi, I run a fitness blog and I get the majority of my backlinks through guest posts that I write on high quality sites. Sometimes they allow me to put a backlink within the article, and I'll link it to a relevant article of mine. However, in the "author bio" section my backlink anchor text is usually just my brand name. I was wondering if this backlink should point towards my home page or is it more beneficial to point it towards an important article of mine? Thanks

Would you delete the links page ?
I have noticed that more and more of my competitors are removing the links page from their sites. Either that or they are hiding them. I suppose it makes sense because all the links on my page http://www.kerryblu.co.uk/links-7-w.asp are just links to sites that are linking to me. Supposedly there is no worth in this but I'm just worried that I will lose a lot of links if I delete this page and this may effect my currently crappy rankings for the worse. What do you think? Keep the links page or delete it ?

Should I request backlinks to use anchor text that is page specific?
I work for a community college, with fairly high seo for the college in general. We have no budget for advertising specific programs, so we are trying to optimize individual pages on the website, e.g., physical therapy assistant, welding, etc. Does it make a difference if other websites use our main url, college name, or the college name plus specific program as the anchor text? Also, I'm seeing some posts here recommending to avoid lots of directory listings. I assume that doesn't apply to industry specific directories, like nursing school directories, right? I'm still a very new newbie and appreciate your advice.

Google is no longer ranking home page but sub page lower, why?
We were ranking on page 2 and number 4 for the key word motorcycle tires. Google was ranking our home page jakewilson.com; however, we have been adding new content to our site and doing some internal linking. We pointed some links about motorcycle tires to http://www.jakewilson.com/cl/52/Motorcycle-Tires and now that page ranks but on page 3 not 2. Any thoughts?

PPC Landing pages and SEO landing pages query
We do a fair amount of work on PPC and because of this a lot of our PPC landing pages also do quite well in SEO. We are thinking that the landing pages do well because they get a lot of traffic from PPC and therefore, maybe google can index and take note of these pages quicker? The pages that usually shoot right up the rankings are new pages used for long tailed keywords. So I have a few questions: Does the traffic from PPC actually have any effect on SEO rankings? If we were to create a page that was to act solely as an SEO landing page, would google take note if there was no traffic? Would simply linking from our main site to the landing page be enough to give it a bit of authority, in which we can build upon? Thanks in advance.
