BlackBerry Devices - Video is not playing

Hi Friends,
In my website I am having a lot of Video.
Each inner pages has video is available along with content in the page and video is not playing in all BlackBerry devices. So, I am planning to implement only for blackberry devices “iFrame technology” to avoid this issue.
Is this will affect my seo work in Google ranking?

Actually I am using JW Player for playing my video.
I use only desktop page to show in all smart phones. But only in BlackBerry video is not playing.

The only thing to watch out for when re-directing mobile users is their lander.
Far too often when a user tries to access www.yoursite.com/thispage.php?=file.pdf they are just redirected to m.yoursite.com rather than m.yoursite.com/thispage.php?=file.pdf
As long as you let them access the content they are seeking on a single clickthrough to your mobile site re-directing them should be fine.
It may be also worthwhile reviewing the common practices in optimizing for smartphones as provided by Google:
https://developers.google.com/webmasters/smartphone-sites/common-mistakesThey point out that it may be worthwhile having your videos in a more global platform such as HTML5 rather than flash!

Is adding video to my homepage a ranking signal
Just had a lengthy chat with an SEO guy and one of the points bought up was that video on the homepage is a definite signal these days and the bots read the metas better than ever. I'm not sure about this, I do think that videos are a thing that improves the user experience but to rank? If it was to rank would I embed a YouTube video as its owned by Google, Vimeo for the quality or self-host but cause me to have a heavy page. I'm a bit lost here and would appreciate some guidance.

Instructional Videos on Separate Websites
Am I doing this correctly? We have 3 websites and shoot a lot of instructional videos on how to use our products. I build a webpage for the video and put it on all three websites, using rel="canonical" on 2 of the videos pages, pointing to the single most important page, is this the right method? TY

How can i define a ALT Tag for Youtube videos?

Using Transcription Service For Videos - Have Question Around Search and Spiders
Hi All, So I have put together a weekly video series on security topics. I have read an SEOmoz post around how you can boost SEO by adding the transcription to the page, which makes perfectly good sense. My question is, can I include the first couple of paragraphs and then have a "read the full transcription" so when the user clicks, the rest of the content appears? Do the search engine spiders only crawl the first two paragraphs in this instance or do they crawl the whole thing even though the entire content is not on the page? I dont mind making the page longer and including the entire transcription if it is easier for SEO but if there is no difference, than I think the first option would be the best user experience. Can embedding videos from other sites help SEO?
I work for an eCommerce site and many of the vendors we get our products from have videos our their site that explain how the products work and the different features of them, ect. We really have done nothing with video marketing, and would like to create some of our own unique videos, but this will be impossible for the vast majority of the products on our site. We know from a content standpoint embedding videos from our vendors to our product pages will be beneficial, but at the same time it shows our competitors and other site visitors where we are getting our products from which we would rather not do. How will this effect us from an SEO standpoint though? Will it help us to have new content, even though it is embedded from another site? Or will it hurt us because it is not unique? Or will it have no effect at all? Thanks for you help!

Duplicate content on video pages
Hi guys, We have a video section on our site containing about 50 videos, grouped by category/difficulty. On each video page except for the embedded player, a sentence or two describing the video and a list of related video links, there's pretty much nothing else. All of those appear as duplicate content by category. What should we do here? How long a description should be for those pages to appear unique for crawlers? Thanks!
