Multi-languae site anda Campaigns
-
Hi,
I need to optimize a multi-language site. It's an hotel chain website and has 4 languages. Each language version of the site must be optimize for a diferente Google Engine.
The english version of the web must be optimized for Google United States, an so on.
Do I need to create a new Campaign for each language? or can I use more than 4 Engines in one campaign.
Thanks,
-
Is your question related to the SEOmoz Webapp?
Because, if it is so, the answer is: you can do both.
Which is the problem choosing one campaign for all the languages' versions of your site? That you are going to spend more time in order to separate the datas for any version.
For instance, if you track 20 keywords per language, you're going to see how your site ranks for an english keyword also in the spanish Google or the german one...
Also, when you are going to make link research, you will need to use the Excel filter a lot, in order to see what sites really links to one version or another.
If this is not a problem for you (or you have limited campaign spots, being just 5 on a basic Pro level), then, you can create just one campaign... but the ideal (for better job organization) would be to create one campaign for every language version.
Ciao

Open site explorer, why are my social media metrics incorrect?
In open site explorer the Facebook and twitter stats are very low in correlation to what we think it should be. Twitter - 129 Total tweets and retweets of this URL since March 2010, including tweets of the URL with unique parameters added. We tweet our URL and people retweet our url several times a day, why is this figure so low? Facebook - 268 shares, 133 likes. Our Facebook page has 16,767 likes · 1,373 talking about this. Surely this figure should be higher? Could it be that its not linked to our site properly some how? im unsure, can any one shed any light on this please?

Does it make sense to have multiple campaigns for one website?
I'm new to SEO and SEOMoz. While setting up my campaigns, I was a bit confused. Do I need to setup separate campaigns for different pages of my site? For example, I run a proofreading service: www.kibin.com I obviously want to track keyword on the main page (like proofreading service), however, I also want to track keywords (like 'essay editing') on www.kibin.com/essay-editing Should these be two separate campaigns or do I just put all the keywords into one campaign for kibin.com? Thanks!

Why is the SEOmoz customer service on this site so awful?
Half the time the tools don't work and there isn't any accountability. Has anyone else had the same experience?

No Local Directory links in Open Site Explorer?
Hi there, I just signed up for seomoz pro today and have been playing around in OSE looking at a number of local business websites that I manage SEO for. For all of them, I have put an endless amount of effort ensuring they have good quality, accurate business listings in all the local directories like yelp, yellowpages, hotfrog, tripadvisor, etc. For most of them, I did this months or even up to a year ago. However, I don't see a single link reported in OSE that is a result of my efforts here. Does OSE not report links from local business directories, or should I be concerned that I'm somehow not optimizing properly, or are these types of links of such little value that they don't get picked up, something else? Thanks for the help!

Why is a low ranking site outperforming a higher one?
Hi, I've got a question here that is more about learning than about rectifying this specific situation, as it is a low traffic (low dollar) situation. I would appreciate your help. Thanks, Ken The targeted long-tail is: carrollton ga internet marketing The targeted site is: http://www.kennethlewis.com/ Yet, when I run the keyword search I get this other site of mine, which is older, but has much worse metrics. http://www.breemawellness.com/ On this site, all I did was put a in-text link on it and added the keywords to my title tags. Open Site Explorer shows these metrics: KennethLewis.com 34, 23, 18, 98 vs. BreemaWellness 27, 15, 7, 10. Both are on the same server. Note: -Until two months ago the KennethLewis.com was only partially about Internet Marketing- mildly so, actually- and it was a 2-3 page iWeb not-optimized site. But BreemaWellness has never been about Internet Marketing, and those words were just added two months ago for the first time. -KennethLewis.com gets regular content changes, to the blog. BreemaWellness.com almost never gets touched. Thoughts?
